Week 2 Blogpoll

Here is the ballot I intend to submit for the blogpoll this week. Ballots aren't due until tomorrow. I have time to change things so please give me some input. I managed to catch quite a bit of football this week. I attended the PSU-Akron game in person and got home in time to catch the Notre Dame-GA Tech game midway through the second quarter. I also caught bits and pieces of USC, Auburn, and Louisville this weekend.

Dropped Out: Cal (#20), Arkansas (#25).

I didn't change too much from last week's poll. I had California at #20 so I dropped them off the list and replaced them with Tennessee who debuts at #19. I also dropped Arkansas from the list after their loss to USC and replaced them with Arizona State. I didn't punish GA Tech for losing to Notre Dame since I don't feel you should punish a team in the rankings for losing to a higher ranked team. They were expected to lose that game but they kept it close so I'm keeping them where they are. Florida State and Miami switched places in the poll after FSU beat Miami last night.

Notre Dame

I think you're giving too much love to Notre Dame like most people. They haven't proven anything yet. If you look at their performances last year their own quality win was against an up and down Michigan team. They may have talent, but I like to see results.

Well I guess their high ranking will only make us look that much better this weekend!!

It hurts

to give ND that much love. I figured I was being pretty harsh on them considering everyone else has them in the top 5. With us, Michigan, Michigan State coming up and USC down the road, we'll see how good they are.

If it were up to me there would be no polls before October.

why don't you rank Ohio State higher, who I think creamed ND two games ago?

I never said

PSU's victory was that impressive. It will be very tough to beat ND especially in their house.

I was more commenting on Notre Dame's schedule last year. We don't really know how good GT is yet, so it is hard to determine how good the team is.

I am not shocked that ND didn't go down in the polls after the GT game, I am just shocked they were so high in the first place, when they hadn't proven anything yet. I mean they couldn't even beat MSU.
