Blues In Steeltown

If you listen to Pitsburgh Sports Talk like I do every Monday night, tonight you will have learned that:

A) Pitt is leaps and bounds ahead of where they were last season after a close loss to Michigan St.  The fact that they wern't blown out by a team that just hired a new coach and missed a bowl last year is cause for celebation.

B) "Shady" McCoy is a Heisman candidate after big games against powerhouse like MSU, Eastern Michigan, and Grambling.

C) Lerod Stevens-Howling is the best backup running back in college football.

D) #10 Penn State and #5 WVU do not exist.

It is a sad state of affairs in this town right now.  The sports journalism has reached perhaps an all time low.  They've set the bar SO LOW for Pitt that a close loss to a non-bowl team is considered a moral victory.

Pitt fans on this blog: Defend this.

You can't POSSIBLY be happy after losing to MSU can you?  I know McCoy is reason for optimism, but PITT STIL LOST TO MICHIGAN STATE!

In unrelated news, Pitt PG Levance Fields was tasered the other night for trying to take an officer's gun is a frakas with police.  Where can I get in contact with the Fulmer Cup fellas?
