Terrelle Pryor has a recruiting diary

For any who may be interested in reading:

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08011/848406-365.stm

Looks like he's milking the process for all it's worth, and somehow got Charlie Batch to go with him.  He's visiting Penn State Jan. 18, and I wonder how good of a fit he will be.  Is anyone else getting a prima-donna feeling about him?  To wit from the diary:

"I'm going to go where I can feel comfortable."

"I didn't think I had anything to prove down there. I was just out there having fun."

"I know I'll have some words for the dude that wrote it, if I ever get to talk to him."

Personally I'm not real crazy about the overall attitude he's showing, too much "me" and not enough team.

The latest entry 1-25-08: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08025/852132-365.stm At least here he uses the word "national title", which I like better than "comfortable". Looks like PSU is still in the running.

Well
Can you really blame the kid?  Every elite program wants him, and they're offering him the world.  Can you really expect him to stay level headed with all thats being thrown at him?

Anyway, I bet you his been to PSU more than any other school, and yet hes coming yet again.  We're still in the running fellas.

I think.........
during the Army game they said they were cousins of some sort.  I don't like the attitude either.  But who knows......maybe after he gets smacked in the mouth a little he'll lighten up.

diary
His diary reminds me of the Saturday night live skit where the guy has his statement of I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it people like me.  I look forward to this all ending, I cannot imagine with Mallett leaving THEM that he wouldn't take that opportunity to play right away.

Personally,
I'd rather have him at UM than OSU. I hate OSU beyond all means of rational hatred.

I feel the OSU hatred thing
But can you imagine UM without Mallet, Arrington, AND Manningham? They'd be hurting in '08.

lol
some of you guys kill me, "I don't think I like his attitude" lmao, please if he comes to PSU you'll be very happy. Hell you'll be cheering for him yourself, he's a 17 or 18 yr old kid who is probably wondering where the guy got his info from or whatever and is upset how his family is portrayed wrongly. The whole he said he didn't think he had anything to prove, he probably meant that sincerly, not trying to be smart or cocky, but everyone has know who he is for the last 2 years or so...... When your 6'6 225 and run what a 4.4 and you are a skilled athlete, what do you have to prove at some dumb hs all star game? I've had it up to here with shitty college football and some of their little minded fans and these pathetic coaches, who aside from Joe Pa, ARE the biggest primma-donnas you will ever see. If it wasn't for pro football(you know the sport where hype gets you no where and you actually have to be able to play) I'd be dang near done with football if it wasn't for the men on sundays. College football is one big control freak crap pool, coaches control the players like little kids, coaches are controlled by ads, boosters have alot of sway at some universities. No one can just be honest about something or speak a little bit or there deemed they have a bad attitude or etc. I dont blame most of these guys for leaving to go to the pros if they can, you can get paid, you get treated by your coach like a man, and you dont have to deal with all the garbage associated with college football.

Also I don't blame him for going where HE FEELS COMFORTABLE, isn't that what your supposed to do? If PSU wasn't so damn bland and boring, we would've probably wrapped him up already, don't you think that??

Attitude.........
I dont' know if you were referring to my comment or the original posters comment.......but I am not an FSU fan.  You may be right.  He could have been just talking.....but if you have heard him speak live.....he isn't the most elequent of speakers.....so based on the interviews I have listened to, my guess is it was cockiness.

I don't pull for jag offs with attitudes..........even if they are on my side.  Not in college anyway.  They always end up being either replaceable or damaging to the team.

Yeah
it was right at you and the original poster. The original poster should stop being like ESPN and taking the "I want to go where I feel comfortable" out of context, maybe he works for that left wing tabloid lol. Anyways, I've seen this kid block for his teammates and embrace his teammamtes, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a "I'm above the team ego". If he is like this at the little hs level, where there are only a few guys who are moving onto the D1 level, I doubt he'll change all of a sudden. I think for you to insinuate that this kid is possibly a "jack off with attitude" is pretty ignorant if you ask me myself but hey that's just not who I am, I don't pass judgement without a real cause....

I've seen him speak, he seems indecisive more than anything and he def didn't come across as being cocky during the All American interview with scout. He even stated he was glad he wasn't the only person being interviewed and how skilled these other players are. And taking shots at other universities is child's play, so I won't even comment on that FSU comment. Especially after some of the band of jokers on our team this yr....the last couple of yrs, we don't have much room to talk trash this year.

Futhermore I just think alot of PSU fans are picking at this kid and why he might not be a good fit, is because he's not a lock to come to PSU. I think if he declared PSU last yr, he'd already be a fan favorite amongst some of these feeble minded fans.

You seem to be a sensible man, you know having a skillful qb who can run and pass at the college level is better than having 2 qbs who can do one of each, or almost if we had a platoon system. That works well with running backs not with qbs. I'm telling you, I'd rather have Pryor over Clark and Devlin, and if Devlin or CLark decided to transfer if Pryor came in and won the job, I'm sure you all would stop crapping on them as well.

You know if Devlin would've went to Miami, where he probably would've fit perfect in there they need a qb, alot of PSU fans would be even more thirsty for Pryor to come to PSU and really not tring to find a fault in the kid. I lovveeee people who are indecisive like that, I'll use that word because that's a nice way of putting it.

Also I would like to add, he probably won't come to PSU. I see some people are saying we should use him as a wr his freshman yr and this and that, that would be pretty stupid, we have 3 good wrs and a te who is underacheiving if you will, so if that's the case he's def not coming here. That's the only reason Pat White ended up at WVU but I'm sure the other 118 D1 schools would be smart enough not to try and change his position like PSU would do. We have a history of wanting to change positions, could you imagine if Marino or Kelly played linebacker?....lol.

First.........
the direct responses to what I said.......Jag off and FSU...what I was saying was IF Pryor is a "jag off" (and we dont' know if he is or isn't....just conjecture) that I dont' care how good he is.  That dovetails with the FSU comment in as much as the FSU fans I know don't really seem to overtly care too much if a guy is a jag off as long as he can play football.

I would love to have Pryor come to PSU.  If I have insinuated anything other than that, then I have not been clear.  I also hope that he is more of a Rod Woodson kind of guy than a Deion Sanders kind of guy.
