Is it me or....

Predicting Penn State's Offensive Scripts since 2005!

It could be you.

Have you had any coffee yet, Kunza?

I’m on cup one. I’ll return after 24 more ounces, when I’m able to evaluate with more certainty.

But yes – it’s very possible the Buckster is asymetrical in the extreme.

Yaaawn……

Wow

Kunza’s right.

Bucky is not only twisted, that dude absolutely paved him to the turf.

Why do I get the feeling our Lion would not only have cold-cocked that guy as soon as he got within an arms length, but also broken out into some ‘Napolean Dynamite’-style move bustin’, just to bullet-point that jerk’s humiliation?

Who do we want to win the Texas vs OKLA game?

by jetskijoe on Oct 11, 2008 12:12 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

My thoughts

We want Texas to win. They have a much harder schedule going forward meaning there is a better chance they will get knocked off later. The perfect scenario would be Texas beats Oklahoma, Missouri beats Texas, and then Oklahoma beats Missouri in the Big XII champ game.

by BSD on Oct 11, 2008 12:17 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Or

Texas lose today then Texas beats Missouri and then Missouri beats Oklahoma.

Agreed....

What a mess… and now with Michy going into a total nosedive and Illinois losing to Minny our conference looks worse than ever…

Yes.

But, jeez….they’re THISCLOSE to putting it all together.

I cannot even imagine it...

Dick Rod and company falling apart up there is mildly amusing. Goes to show he may not be the one-man savior that so many people make head coaches out to be. Just look at Skip Holtz after his 3-0 start and where is he now? Greg Schiano? Yeah… I am no hurry to see Joe go

If Texas beats OU, does OU drop below PSU (assuming we win)

Or do they stay top 5 because they lost to the #5 team in the country in a close game?

I bleed Blue and White.

by Horse N Buggy on Oct 11, 2008 2:34 PM EDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

drop 5-7 spots

You’re held to a higher standard as a Top 5 team. Alabama fell 2 spots for beating Kentucky by 3.

but

We won't get knocked

if Illinois loses. It doesn’t really matter that much. If we lost to them then thats one thing, but its no big deal. Illinois is the only team that is hurt by their play.

by Horse N Buggy on Oct 11, 2008 3:30 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So, to recap the noon games...

Illinois tries to make a second half comeback. Then decides against that. Then decides to try it again. Then no. Then yes. Then no.

Michigan makes a mockery of themselves. Screw the “conferences”, I’m voting Toledo’s WR Nick Moore as Big Ten offensive player of the week.

Red River Rivalry game has been fun to watch – such an awesome show. The football is okay, but these penalties and flops and reviews. Oh the drama is fantastic!

On a lesser note, has anybody seen where that East Carolina bandwagon drove off to? I mean, I figured the wheels would start to get shaky after everyone jumped on after week 2. But ouch – 1-3 since then, and even their win over Tulane wasn’t all the impressive.

Ok, I’m out for a bit – off to West Chester, PA to watch the Penn State Icers. Will likely mean that I’ll have to catch most of the first quarter on the radio during the drive home – that just means i’ll have to catch up on the drinking very quickly.

Texas OU.......

reminded me of a game a Big 10 game a few years ago where two rivals made each other look much better than they ended up being. Fun game to watch, but I a not convinced that either team is as good as the press that Texas is going to get this week for winning. Neither team to this point had played anyone if I am not mistaken, so what do we really know about either of them.

Eventually Illinois is going to fire Ron Zook, and games like that are why. Beat Ohio State, lose to Iowa, beat Michigan, lose to Minnesota.

Ohio State

looks beatable. I don’t want to look ahead considering we haven’t even started the game against U-Dubb, but OSU looks mediocre, at least for today. Terrelle Pryor is a less experienced, way less accurate version of Juice Williams (Halftime stats: 6-9 for 66 yards passing). This team can be beaten. Purdue was a few plays short of tying this game, or at least keeping it competitive. Penn State can beat Ohio State. But lets take care of the Badgers first.

by jbolt1971 on Oct 11, 2008 5:41 PM EDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Pryor is still a bit hesitant

You can see some of his youth as he takes a LONG time to decide to run or throw. He’s lucky he has a good line ahead of him to give him decent time and I think he will have a harder time against a god pash rush and delayed or zone blitzing. Let’s face it, Purdue is not that good. We will all find out so much more in the next few weeks and I am more and more certain that our game on th 25th will decide the Big 10 and our BCS futures

13-3?

I think conditioning will be the difference in the long run. Our first 4 games we put away by the 3rd quarter and no other B10 team has had that easy going, right now everyone OSU and Wiscy and MSU have had to slam out 24+ quarters of action. Whereas we are around 20. Honestly, I think it will come down to who can outlast who over 11 games. So far we’ve been fortunate.
