Recruit article from 9/29
I didn't see anyone post this or talk about it on any of the sites so I thought I would post it. There's some interesting names on the list of recruits who were in attendance for Illinois. Steeler fans might find the article very interesting. Might there be a wild-haired, soft-spoken Polynesian wearing Blue and White in the future? You never know. Go State!

I know the writer of that article...
the paper is a small town paper, but the writer is a good guy, who most likely did his homework….

Another wrinkle:
Both Polamalu and Terell Chestnut are from Brent Carter’s high school.
Might be a help.

BS Big Ten Rule about Not Recruiting Other Teams Commits
There is not gentlemans agreement in the Big Ten to not recruit other teams verbals and there never has been.
From the article:
Anthony Fera, St. Pius X, Texas.: Fera is rated as the nation’s No. 2 place kicker, despite having the stature of a linebacker at 6-2, 230 pounds.
After his performances in kicking camps, where he reportedly booted 60-yard field goals, Fera received scholarship offers from the Nittany Lions and Michigan, which he committed to in August. The trip to Happy Valley has many wondering if Fera is wavering on his verbal to the Wolverines, but only time will tell.
Is JoePa a well known Snake Oil salesmen trying to steal another teams recruit?

IS there a rule versus WAS there a rule
Is there a rule? No.
Was there a rule? Probably.
Should there be rule? Maybe.
