May No Act
of Our's Bring Shame....
Though I am not able to make any road trips this season or actually any season...I would ask, as a PSU alum...Please be respectful when traveling into enemy territory...Yes I know it's easy to taunt and get into "pissing contests" with the other team (especially if they're choc full o' nuts) but let's remember that we represent PSU as much as the players on the field
now I am not saying that we should cower like dogs when confronted...we need to show our strength if we have to but there is no need to act like idiots and fools...remember the team from 1912, go out there and give it all you got (support the team) and don't let them get to you just hit them where it hurts and let them lick thier wounds and go cry about it
Just keep in mind you not only represent yourself but an entire school and alumi fan base...You Stay Classy PSU
WE ARE
BTW Mike I love the PSU history I think you should post more of it when you get a chance....RUTS and Kevin your posts are kick ass as well...Hats off to BSD keep pumpin out the good stuff
Thanks for the fanpost! Please do not post any content from a premium site that requires a subscription. Also, if you just want to share a link consider using fanshots instead. Thanks.

That's gonna be a bit tricky to chant at the Horseshoe
WE ARE…BTW Mike I love the PSU history (etc).
I think I’ll stick with replying “PENN STATE!!!”
As for how we act in Columbus…I think it will take a “special” PSU fan to agressively try to start shit down on their turf. I think if anything we have to worry about the OSU drunken students staying classy.

I agree
I don’t think that we will be the aggressor(s) but when it comes to responding to them…try not to go down to thier level…fun is fun but throwing pee balloons just sucks for everyone

Double Down
If we want to expect class from our players we should, as fans, project class.
I live in Chicago and I think OSU and Wiscy fans are generally the worst behaved of all B10 schools. We had planned on going to the game, but are taking a pass. There ended up being many reasons we aren’t going, but one of them is that my wife is pregnant (and even an OSU fan) and I had some concern about going to a night game at the shoe with her.

yeah, I wouldn't want to go to a game at the shoe with an OSU fan either ;-)
by the way, your pregnant wife sounds hot.

Haven't We've Heard Enough of This?
I get it. All other Big Ten fans are jackasses, we are Penn State, stay classy, yatta yatta yatta. Twenty Penn State fans talking in circles isn’t going to change what happens this week or the rest of this year for that matter. I’m going, I’ll try my best to stay classy, I’m aware that we are all insulted by some image problems that may be creeping up. Can we save ourselves the lectures from now on?

I don't think an emphasis on fan behavior is a bad thing.
It gets tired after a while, sure, but for all the rabid gameweek hate I try to build up for each opponent, I don’t mind a reminder to bring me down to Earth before the game.

I agree with you IC Lion
enough already with the lectures; we went to Penn State, whatever culture we got from the place is with us now for better or worse.
Also, visiting fans don’t generally act completely crazy because its not in their self-interest to do so. There’s nothing wrong with cheering hard, and if you get spat on or someone throws beer cans at you, I’d suggest you walk away. If it becomes too much, and you decide to react in a hostile moment, I’m not going to hold that against you.
We’re Penn State, not the Central Pennsylvania boys choir.
I wouldn't trust old rooster me neither.

Try better than your best
It’s going to take an extra-special effort for you to stay classy out there.
I'm too country for Terrelle Pryor.
