My ultimate happiness...

rests on whether or not we win this game.

I was out in the trenches, which enables me to paint such a powerful picture, like Apocalypse Now.-Cormega

It is the greatest Saturday in 2008

Good Morning Penn State fans today is the first day of the rest of ouir season. I ask you all to be confident just as we want the team to be confident. This game is ours and the Buckeyes will not take it from us. We Are!!!!

by pslion on Oct 25, 2008 8:28 AM EDT   0 recs

Watching the Big Ten network this morning, Glenn Mason, Jerry Dinardo, etc....

and they were comparing PSU and OSU and picking who has the advantage in different areas of the game, and they actually said that OSU had the advantage at Quarterback, Running Back, Offensive Line, Linebackers, Secondary and said it was a toss up at head coach.

Advantage at Quarterback…..are you kidding me? Offensive Line….what?

The haters are up early this morning.

by Lovethosefreakinnittanylions on Oct 25, 2008 8:46 AM EDT   0 recs

I saw that last night...

Unbelievable! Giving them the QB edge is pretty bad, but O-Line?! What?! We may have the best O-line in the nation, let alone the Big Ten. It’s all good though… we’ll change all that hate tonight…

by Bstoner52 on Oct 25, 2008 9:43 AM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Todd McShay

has talked twice this week about our O-Line being a weakness. I’m starting to wonder if he’s seen any of Penn State’s games…or looked at a stat sheet and seen Royster’s ypc. How do guys like him work for the “WWL?”

by 4thand15 on Oct 25, 2008 9:47 AM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Wait...

There are other games today?

by speedomike on Oct 25, 2008 9:01 AM EDT   0 recs

I can't think...

of another Quarterback I’d rather have leading the Lions in Columbus today. This will be a defining moment in Darryl Clark’s career at Penn State.

by 4thand15 on Oct 25, 2008 9:16 AM EDT   0 recs

this is the defining day of our boys' lives

We will be talking about this day for many years….

Coach Tressel has called for a "Scarlet Out" and "Scarlet Fever"?

My advise to them is to be careful…..a bull charges when he sees RED!

And, better be careful asking for Scarlet Fever, because you might just end up with a bad case of Laurenitis instead, which is the cousin of Jock Itch!!!!

by Lovethosefreakinnittanylions on Oct 25, 2008 9:20 AM EDT   0 recs

It's also

a HUGE day for Derrick Williams. He has a real shot at achieving what he set out to do when he came to Penn State…He’s going to be up for this game. No doubt about it.

by 4thand15 on Oct 25, 2008 9:21 AM EDT   0 recs

Morning after headline predictions from Big Ten Network butt wipes....

Jerry Dinardo-Scarlet Fever
Glen Mason-30 Years and Counting
Howard Griffith-Goodbye Columbus, Hello Miami!

Howard is the only one picking PSU

Sean Lee

Breaks my damn heart seeing him in that clip but not out on the field. What a great guy and a better player.

Yo I just thought of something....

Pryor is getting sacked alot to start off his career. If evans, maybin and co. can keep that trend going there can definitely be “TPS Report” posted. Mostly for the comedy but it could also chronicle the impact that each Terrelle Pryor Sack had.

I hope this comes off, it will be classic!

Anyone else just see the Ode to JoePa on gameday?

Nice way to honor the best coach ever! I love JoePa!

makes ya proud to be a penn stater, huh?

All I could think of while it was playing was that we are going to miss him when he is gone.

I feel privileged to have drunk called him at midnight during my junior year and had him call me a moron!!!!

In '74

I lived in East Halls and had an 8 am Saturday (ugh) golf phys.ed class at Rec Hall. At 7:45 on the way across campus I’d pass Joe every home Game Day (he walked to the Beav) and would say “Hello, Coach”, and he’d say “Hey, how ya doin’?”. It was a huge kick for me even then.

So yeah – Joe and I have had at least six 1-on-1 personal conversations. We are tight.

OT: I made every golf class that year, for 2 reasons:
              1) I was always done throwing up by then, and
              2) I was assigned to help classmate Jennifer Shenk, as I’d been playing since age 6.

She made it well worth my hangover-plagued trudge across Parking Lot 80. And back.

Of course, if she Googles her name sometime soon, she’s going to wonder “WTF? Who IS this nitwit?”.

Keep her guessing. It’s good for the soul.

“OSU fans, you will never make it back to the BCS championship game. Give it up. The pollsters will never let you in.”

Could not have said it any better, and it makes it even better he’s an OSU guy.

Quick Chick break.....

Lets give a shout out to the #1 Penn State women’s volleyball team, who improved to 21-0 on the season. Not only are they HOT, but they haven’t lost a single set yet this season since coming off their national championship last season.

Go State!

Those teeny tight shorts

don’t hurt either.

(Excuse me ladies – just my testosterone showing through. No piggishness intended.)

Not only are they skilled, they have an amazingly violent streak, which I love. Last weekend Christa Harmotto bounced a kill off a Michigan girl’s forehead that landed about 8 rows deep in the stands. Then she laughed.

Loved it.

Then use the image button just above your text when you post—it’s the last one, looks like a tree. Then you paste the URL into the space that pops up.

I was always more partial to Bonnie Bremner.

Great player (4 time All-American), very attractive and smart (Academic All-American). I’ve always had a thing for smart women.

First come

Tears of anticipation. I’ve had a few of those already this morning. Of course, a 4am bedtime after many beers at G.O.D.S. Night (Guys Out Doing Shit) sandpapers the synapses and keeps emotions close to the surface.

I hope I don’t see any telethon commercials, or I might end up with my own adopted baby from the Ukraine.

Good Omen

Last night, ESPN Classic showed the 2001 OSU-PSU game when JoePa broke the all-time wins record.

Zack Mills and Co. came back from 27-9 and won 29-27. What a game! Let’s hope for the same outcome tonight.

Does anyone know why Mark May is such a PSU hater? Is he mad that Penn State doesn’t play Pitt?
