Stay Classey OSU

So I went over to Eleven Warriors to read the recap.  Got to love some of the commenters on that blog.

Here's one that irked me:  "alabama or texas will rape this psu team."

So we only put up 13 last night.  We didn't really open up the play book.  It was a knock down drag-it out game.  We did was we were supposed to.  Oh and by the way OSU only ran for 61 yards.  Thats right 61, beanie had 55 of those on 22 carries.

The game plan was make TP throw the football.  He did, we picked him, sacked him but didn't give up a touchdown.  Everyone knew this would be a defensive game, but to say that either of those teams would rape us?

We play either of them it will be a good game, but give our D some credit they manhandled the OSU line all night long and forced TP to do things he didn't want to due.  We locked up that vaunted running attack and played the typical bend don't break.

Sorry for the rant, but people like this just grind my gears.

Ignore them

They would have stated that OSU would rape Texas or Alabama if they had won by the same score. I think its starting to get to them that their team cannot perform in the biggest of the big stages. I agree that irks me too, but we need to stay classier. Thats our M.O.

Ignore Them

Texas has played 3 home games against Oklahoma, Missouri, and OK State. We will see how good they are when they go play a good Tech team up in Lubbock…I smell and hear upset alert in Lubbock…

Alabama has beaten an overrated Clemson team, an overrated Georgia team, and has gotten a pretty weak SEC scheduled otherwise. Florida will beat them in the SEC championship game if they are lucky enough to make it that far undefeated…

So talk about PSU being overrated…they have manhandled everybody they have played defensively…the offense has struggle abit the past 2 weeks but have found ways to beat teams they haven’t been able to beat in years…i’ll take it…plus i’ll take our defense against any of those teams people say are better than our nittany lions…

WE ARE….

Absolutely

If their silly comments get you worked up, then they win.
Can’t let that happen.

If anything, after ANY loss congratulate the other team for a good game. That’s what true fans due.

I know

It doesn’t get me too worked up, just a little grouchy.

Yeah

Don’t get me wrong, I’m the same way. Usually if I see something that’s just blatantly disrespectful I just click a random bookmark and move on.

But yeah, I get weird about that stuff, too.

OSU should be cheering for PSU

If PSU gets smashed in the title game, the Big Ten’s rep will take yet another hit. OSU does not want that.

If PSU loses one of its final 3 games, PSU will likely drop to the Rose Bowl and OSU will not get an at large bid to the BCS. I haven’t worked out the scenarios completely, but even a crazy 3 or 4 way tie where PSU loses the tiebreakers would put a 7-1 Minnesota or MSU in the Rose Bowl and give PSU an at large bid.

OSU’s road to the BCS, present and future, requires PSU running the table.

i used the following couplet....

that i composed in response to the groundless and haughty OSU hate flowing around the ESPN message boards. They really believe that OSU made all the mistakes, instead of Penn State making all the plays. Was TP in a vacuum when he fumbled? Oh yeah, i’m sorry, Rubin, being the hero he is, punched the freakin’ ball out.

a couplet for Ohio State fans : “by whatever inbred math you use…you apparently win even when you lose”

hopes Maybin wipes his ass with some TP

stop using the "stay classy" cliche

it implies we have some kind of football moral superiority over other fanbases.

we have great fans, but we also have our share of ignorant ass#oles as well. for example, those whose celebration destroyed lightposts and damaged vehicles after the game on saturday night.

i think it’s also important to note that eleven warriors actually gave us due respect after the game:

Eleven Warriors gave a fair, honest assesment.

My favorite line: Laurinaitis recorded 12 stops on the night, but the faction that believes he’s a little overrated would like to point out that only two of those were solo tackles.
