Around SBN: SB Nation interviews Jerome Bettis

From the ESPN Big Ten Blog:
"Also, Paterno will have his injured hip examined by doctors this week, most likely Wednesday. He hopes to receive any necessary treatment, including surgery, immediately after the season so he can 'get on the road and go out and recruit.'

In other words, Paterno has no plans to step down after the season."

Hate to make a tangent.

Perhaps I’m thinking too far ahead, but the 2009 schedule “features” Akron, Syracuse, Eastern Illinois, and Temple all at home. IF PSU runs the table and is denied a BCS berth, do you think Tim Curley gets the hint and schedules… y’know… one of the 65 BCS schools? or a quality non-BCS school? Please? One of these days the “most games against FBS opponents” will deny us a Rose Bowl berth.

Fire Tim Curley. That is all.
