Pollspeak voting breakdown for week 10
I didn't see it posted here previously. Maybe I'm blind so I apologize if that's the case. I was looking at the site and I couldn't believe that more than a few of the voters have us 4th, 5th, and unbelievably 6th!!! Obviously for the voters who have us this low, there's no convincing them. They have their bias and hell hath no fury like a journalist's scorn!
Aww, look at you. You created a Fanpost! Any content from a premium site that requires a subscription will be deleted once we catch wind of it. If you simply want to share a link, quote, or video, please consider using Fanshots instead. Thanks.

While it’s disappointing to see some people ranking us below #3, it is encouraging to see the number of people who have us at #2. The optimists on us far outnumber the pessimists.
Exactly
There are almost 4 times as many people who voted us #2 as there are people who voted us #4-6.
you don't understand
the only way they could fit 3 SEC teams and 2 Big 12 teams into the top 5 was to drop PSU down to #6…see? It is all completely logical. I’m actually a bit surprised that we aren’t ranked 25th, behind the 12 SEC and 12 Big 12 teams.

Those are the people
Who would say our equals in the Big XII and SEC are Baylor and Mississippi St.
funny how
four of the five people that dropped psu to #4-6 are west coasters (3 soco, 1 wa)
and if i remember correctly three of them had usc rated higher than penn state (in the #3 spot)
a little hometown bias never hurt anyone from being reasonable right?
Meadville, PA born and raised.
Echoing what JNitt was saying
The same d-bags that have us 6th wedged all of the SEC teams they could get away with in front of us as did the west coast homers whose beloved rubbers lost to a team we crushed. This kinda thing just makes me ill. I have purposely been avoiding this site for the last 4 weeks or so and this is why. And here I thought I would have a nice, relaxing bye week… :)

Not THIS site, mind you... but Pollspeak
MIke, Ruts, Kevin… please forgive any misunderstandings there. I haven’t been able to avoide this site for more than 12 hours or so since I found it (Thank my cousin Holly at EDSBS for that!)

Holiday friends...
Ahh yes…. everyone was feeling Merry and when Merry left they all jumped for Joy!
Tasteless? I do not care…

lol
considering you post about as frequently as I do, I don’t think anyone would ever accuse you of avoiding this site for more than a day, let alone for a month.
By the way, I also am way too addicted to this site. The only blog/forum I check for anything (mostly because after the time I spend on here, I don’t have time to check anywhere else :-p )

Amen to that
Here’s to hoping we all meet up at a tailgate in Florida!

I'll third that
I can imagine what the entire day of the NC game would be like in the parking lot of Dolphin Stadium. Good things.
Just for the hell of it....
I ran dual reports on Pollspeak using PSU and……an SEC team of your choice. Easy to do using their left sidebar.
May I be the first to suggest that Ms. Molly Yanity sounds screamingly unattractive? Totally and completely Un-Hot? K9-ish, even?
Let’s not guess, though:

Yikes! It’s Rosie O’Donnell’s uglier sister. And that’s the NICEST pic I saw. Which is unfortunate. For her, anyway.
Since she’s from the Seattle ‘Intelligent as a Post’, she must just be a PSU hater, while wallowing in her Wazzou Love. Let’s see how we rank up with Loveable USC in her mind:

Close, but wrong. Not as wrong as Kevin Pearson, but wrong.
Looking further, she’s drawn the attention of Pollspeak before. Specifically, Week 8:

Just proves the point: gorgeous ladies like Penn State.

The bitch from Seattle (Molly Yanity)
is a legendary dumbass. She raises the bar incredibly high in incompetence. I would like to think that whomever decides who and who will not have a vote in the AP poll year to year would immediately strip this bitch’s vote away from her.
I've noticed
that her polls are consistently horrible, and indefensible. It makes me wonder what horrible thing the Big 10 must have done to her in some past life

Just make sure
you’re only stripping her vote…..screamingly unattractive and totally & completely not hot need to stay clothed.

To be fair
They blew out Ohio State by 32 points, while we struggled to beat them by 7. I know you can’t compare like that because of all the obvious things, but I would guess that would be their justification.
To add to that...
There are only 2 common opponents between USC and Penn State, so I’m guessing they chose to ignore Oregon State and consider Ohio State the true barometer. Pretty dumb.
Yes, but
OSU traveled 2000 miles and 3 time zones. That’s worth a few points. OSU still choked, though.
USC travels 200 miles, and gets dumped by our friends at the other OSU, who in turn travelled 2000 miles to get clocked by us. PSU goes 200 miles and beats tOSU.
See where I’m going with this?
Me either.

that if you draw lines between the 4 places you get a parallelogram?
perhaps even a rectangle if the angles work out!
Or perhaps that you don’t know your geography quite as well as you should, as LA & Corvallis are almost 1000 miles apart, OSU & PSU are closer to 400 miles apart, and the Big 10 and Pac-10 schools you mention are more like 2500 miles apart :-P

It might be on…I’m holding Pete the Streak back, but can only get away with it for so long there Jnitt….

well I’m not too scared, since if the above conversions hold true he’s likely to think I’m about half as far away as I am, and go beat up some other guy by accident.

oh, and also
if anyone ever analyzed my “pulled a number out of my ass” calculations, I’d probably retroactively fail all my math classes from second grade on.

Nothing in my above comment
is to be considered as anything even remotely accurate regarding distance, geography or parallelogramy geometry. I yield to your superior acumen in ALL those disciplines, Sir. Besides, you’re in Michigan, right? Bordering the Portuguese rain forest, if I’m not mistaken. So I know where to find you when I need to borrow a beer.
My point, I think, was………shit. I forget.
Anyway, Molly Yanity remains Un-Hot, unintelligent, and nakedly jealous of Rosie’s attractiveness quotient.

Rosie’s attractiveness quotient
incredibly disturbing phrase.. despite the truth of it.
