Their Idiot Band Is Reinstated

http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081009/WDH0101/81009047/1981

The Badger band is back despite 'asinine, disgusting, and degrading behavior'.

This will drastically affect the format of the pre and post game ceremonies.  Yet despite what many believe, it will have zero affect as to how the game is played on the field.

Looks like a beautiful day of sunshine and fall temperatures in Madison on Saturday.  Anyone tailgating?

BSD had better represent!

I'll be at the game.

This will be my fourth trip to Camp Randall since I moved to WI. I’ll be there with some buddies from work. We’re going to be tailgating over in the Medical Center lot (20 S. Park – North Building), located at the corner of Regent Street & Park. I’ll be driving down from Wausau around Noon and probably getting to the parking lot around 3:00 PM.

Feel free to stop by, we’re supposed to have a friendly mix of Badger and Lion fans. There should be both Yuengling and Leinie’s in the coolers.

We tailgated in the Medical Center Lot for the game in 2006.
I’ll blame Morelli’s inaccuracy or Bielema’s abuse of the rules, not superstition, and hit the same spot on Saturday…hopefully with different results this year.

I live in Wausau as well…am heading down Friday night…have a blue honda with WI license plates: NTY LION

A BSD tailgate party it is in the Medical Center lot on the corner of Regent and Park…Yuengling and Leinie’s all around!

Who else is in?!

Saturday

I’ll try to drop by. I’ve lived in Madison for just over a year now.

just the pep band is going.

The blue band only goes on one major trip per year, and that was Purdue last week.

Seating?

Is it because we can get we can’t get more seating at tOSu or Wiscy or what? The band at Purdue? Ok, I guess…

homecoming games

We didn’t go to Ohio State I was told because that is there homecoming game. As for wisconsin, I’m not too sure, but maybe since we no longer invite wisconsin to our games, maybe they won’t let us bring our whole band to theirs?

I'll be there

driving from Michigan, but meeting up with some friends from Chicagoland. If you see someone with a Penn State golden retriever named Nittany, it is probably me. Yeah yeah, cliche name, but I figure she’s probably the only (or one of very few) Nittany in the state of Michigan.

I’m planning on bringing my last case of Yuengling with me, as well (I’ll be restocking next week when I drive in for the Michigan game).

Making the Paper

Is this The JuggerNitt, or was there another golden named Nittany in town? (Check out the pictures.) :)

my secret identity

has been revealed!!!

The woman had apparently overheard me telling my girlfriend that the Wisconsin fans have been much nicer than in past visits to Madison (and in past stories I’ve heard from visiting fans there). My girlfriend is an MSU alum, but went with me to the game and stayed outside to watch our dog Nittany, and hung out with another of our friend’s husband (a Serbian who think football involves some sort of round ball that is kicked around…I think he must mean soccer), and their baby.

Anyway, my girlfriend was really nervous about all the somewhat “aggressive” Wisconsin fans, and was worried for her safety. I said to her, “don’t worry, everyone here is being really nice”. The “undercover” reporter came over, somewhat astonished that I made such a comment, and wanted to get my story. I said how everyone kept coming over to pet Nittany, and the worst I got was “cute dog, too bad you’re making her wear all that ugly Penn State gear” type of stuff. I even said how some woman came over and said “thank you very much for visiting Wisconsin” or something like that. My girlfriend corrected me at that point and told the reporter that the woman actually said “F*ck you very much”. I guess that’s why none of our quotes were in the article ;-)
