I also love his amazing commentary on the Notre Dame situation
A Chicago Sun-Times story Monday shed much more heat than light on the tenure of Charlie Weis (27) at Notre Dame. The story declared that “The Weis Watch is officially on,” but lacked even the slightest substantiation for that assertion beyond the Fighting Irish’s continued lousy play against decent opposition.
Um…isn’t that pretty much the only criterion other than “wins games”? If you are playing lousy, and losing to anyone with a .500 record or better…well then you probably suck as well. It isn’t like Weis has ever really done anything to prove himself, either, other than win 9 games with someone else’s players.
Homer
Forde is such a homer. SEC, Big 12 or USC…everyone else shouldn’t even play the games on the schedule
PSU Softball
That guy is getting paid to be a douche and produce this drivel for the homers who lap it up. I would avoid clicking or linking to his articles altogether — the more hits he gets the more relevent he appears, and the more likely he’ll stay employed.
This is a situation where by ignoring him, you really can make him disappear. Sure we’d like to prove him wrong, but the big picture is going to prevent us from being able to do that. All we can do is win our games.
Just completely ignore everything he writes
Cold turkey – no Forde, no espn
You’ll feel much better, trust me.
He doesn't even mention us as the overachiever for the Big 10
I could see maybe saying MSU, but it wouild close enough that you should mention us, too. We weren’t picked to be in the top three & then we beat all three of the teams that were. MSU didn’t. We are the only team that can control its own destiny in terms of being the official conference representative to the BCS. The only way MSU can get that is if they beat us & jaOss (just another Ohio state school) loses. The only way jaOss can get in is if we lose & they win the rest of their games. (Granted there are situations in their control where they can finished officially tied as conference champions, but would lose the tie breaker to be the official BCS team.)
