Fox pulls out
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3709030
To not to have to hear Barry Switzer after next year discussing college football.. a thumbs up.
To the possibility of Pam Ward or Andre Ware calling a potential PSU BCS game.. a serious thumbs down.
And I could go into the whole Mark May / Lou Holtz / Lee Corso pandering to the conference du jour, but, I wont flog that poor horse.
Any other thoughts?

When I read the title of this thread
I thought you were talking about Michael J Fox’s birth control method.

Don't worry
I think we’ll be safe from Pam Ward or Andre Ware calling a game…
They’ll use Musberger/Herbie, Nessler/Griese, Patrick/Blackledge and probably Fowler/James/Flutie before they’d ever subject a national audience to that.

I kinda like listening to Patrick
but I’m demented, b/c I like Musburger too.
And on 2nd thought, I think that Nessler/Griese and Pasch/Ware should do the games….that way we get to see Stacey Dales and E.A roam the sidelines.

wow... interesting opinions
on who everyone likes. Since I don’t get it, who does BTN games and are they as bad as the camera work on saw posted on here?
If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

Andre Ware broadcast ...
… usually goes something like this. We can just pull this up rather than turn on the BCS audio:
Partner: “[Insert BCS Team QB] has a good shot at the heisman this year. Andre Ware, you won the heisman. Tell us about that, and about how Indiana almost beat Penn State that year.”
Ware: “[insert Ware’s fillibuster about the heisman and Anthony Thompson here]”

That was the weirdest broadcast ever
I’m all for equal treatment during broadcasts, but I understand when the announcers focus on PSU due to a good record or their prestige, or when the announcers focus on the other team for the same reason. The later is especially true if PSU is bad.
Indiana wasn’t that great, has zero prestige, and the stadium was half-full and half-constructed. But the story lines were:
1) Indiana had a good player in 1989, and so did one of the announcers!
2) Indiana is 10 games into coping with a loss of a previous coach. 10 games.
3) Indiana’s stadium is under construction!
Where could you go from there? Conference call Major Harris? Interview Tony Sacca or Blair Thomas for balance? Who cares! The story lines were set up as if it was assumed Indiana would win the game 50-10, so you’d be left with three quarters of IU fans sitting at the TV, debating whether to turn off the set and work in the yard. This, obviously, is bizarre. If there’s no grand story, focus on the game. It was actually a fairly entertaining game.
