On topic, I’m a fan of traditions. So I like seeing rivalries that can get fans, young and old, pumped up for the season finale. Just because it’s been a bit lopsided in recent years, doesn’t mean you randomly cast aside generations of hate. (And for what? Because you’re “bored” with them now? Yeah, that doesn’t sound arrogant…)

I wouldn’t turn down making the Ohio State the end of the regular season, but I’d love to see some of our old rivalries renewed. We saw Notre Dame spark that a bit, and in a couple years, Alabama will surely do the same. And crappy teams or not, who wouldn’t get excited to see Pitt or WVU back on the schedule?

But, until then, I’m fine with Michigan State. Even if the only real hatred we have with them is that we have to keep finding places to hide that damn trophy year after year after year….
