JoePa in the booth, circa 1974
For those watching the BTN right now, they're playing another in their series of their "Greatest Games" featuring OSU and Michigan. This one's from November 23, 1974. I tuned in mid-game to hear a familiar voice calling the game alongside Keith Jackson. It sounded incredibly like Joe Paterno, and it is. Wikipedia confirms it. Apparently, Woody Hayes joined Jackson for the 1974 ND-USC matchup.
Maybe this isn't news to anyone but me, but I thought it was a pretty cool and unexpected gem to come across on a Friday afternoon.

This is surprising
I notice the wikipede link indicates ‘citation needed’. Think it could’ve been his brother George, who sounded very similar and called a lot of games himself?

I actually
watched that game yesterday and yes it was Joe. Keith refered to him as Joe and mentioned how he would coach a big game against Pitt the next week.
