All Big Ten Team

http://www.bigtennetwork.com/sports/football/story.asp?list_id=1&story_id=3178883

Clark, Williams, Cadogan, Ohrnberger, Shipley, Kelly, Maybin, Odrick, Bowman, and Scirrotto all made the first team, with Royster, Wisniewski, Butler, and Sargeant making second teams.

Also, Shipley wins offensive lineman of the year and Paterno earns coach of the year.

That's a total of 10 players being first team all-big ten, and 14 total players - supposedly a Big Ten record. It's nice to see some recognition after this season.

Wow

That goes a long way towards the claim that this may be the most talented all-around team we’ve ever had.

BTW I’m still wondering — why don’t they actually get this team together and PLAY A GAME with them? Wouldn’t it be friggin sweet to have the All-Big-Ten vs. the All-SEC?

TD

It’s a shame that Tony Davis doesn’t get more pub. That guy has been nothing but solid. I don’t ever recall hearing his name unless he was making a tackle in run support. In coverage, he was lock-down.

How long

Before everyone realizes that Laura is not the HOLY BUCKEYE! GREATEST LINEBACKER EVER that he is heralded as? Can’t be much longer, right? And like Erik said, any list without Zug is a disgrace.

Bednarik finalists

Linebackers Rey Maualuga of Southern California and James Laurinaitis of Ohio State and defensive end Aaron Maybin of Penn State are finalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award for best defensive player.

I didn’t know Maybin made the final cut! What a stud! (I refuse to acknowledge the other Big 10 finalist)

Don't get your hopes up

I read that they’re either retiring the award after Laura wins it or renaming it the Laurinitis Award in his honor.

In honor of JL...

when they re-name it, it shall be called the “secratary” award…since he assists likes one…
