Recruiting Class of 2006

I was on ESPN.com looking at the past recruiting classes and I realized that it was a class that has turned out really good so far, yet has also turned out really bad. On one hand you have guys who have turned into studs, like Bowman, Maybin, Odrick, Royster and Evans(kind of). At the same time, several of the guys aren't even at Penn State any more. Devlin, Taylor, Bell, and Logan-El are gone for various reasons. Also, of the guys that are still here, several of them have been in Joe's Doghouse, like Evans, Quarless Koroma. It's interesting to see how the guys who weren't very highly rated. Bowman, Maybin, Odrick, and Royster all failed to make ESPN's 150 List. Hopefully, a few more guys in the class will step and add to the number of successes.

FYI....

….Bowman, Maybin, and Odrick were all Rivals250 prospects. Not exactly shabby.

Another name in which the verdict is still out is AJ Wallace.

Bowman

Even he has spent time in the doghouse.

That's right...

….because he “clenched his fists” near a Pittsburgh Police Officer. I forgot about that major incident that was all over the world’s worst newspaper (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) for weeks.

oh dear...that'd be scary

and to think, when I threw a beer bottle “at” a cop on College Ave, all I got was a “go home and get to bed, son”

Man that was some night…I wish I remembered more of it.

This oughtta be good

Definitely putting this one in the queue for Rose Bowl Tailgate stories, right up there with TME’s Tijuana story.

;-)

Have we figured out where that’ll be yet?

Tijuana? It's just south of San Diego, silly man.

Oh!… You mean the tailgate! We are still trying to figure that out and how we need to go about it as I will be without vehicle for the day for mostly obvious reasons.

I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member
