I will be at the Rose Bowl
Trying to get a list together of people that will definately be the Rose Bowl. Let's get a BSD party going some night. I am arriving at LAX at 4:50pm on Tues. 30th and leaving Saturday 1/3. I will be with my 18 year old (hot) daughter who I feel no qualms about abandoning for an evening of BSD partying. Is anyone planning on tailgating? Where would be a good place and time for us all to get together? Mighty Erik who is a local would probably be our best point man.

Tickets
I made an attempt to buy tickets thru the NLC today…it’s based on points, so i’m sure i’ll be enjoying the game from my couch.

$820 for 4 including shipping
Comes out to $205 each. Not that much higher than face value.

Anyone found decent airfare?
Every place I check, it’s around $550 or more per person round trip. Is that as good as it’s gonna get?
Anyone have a private jet, helicopter, or blimp that I could rent for the week?

What about a hot air balloon
Sure you can’t commandeer one of them in the lancaster area?
I haven’t searched airfare yet. Still workin on my NLC tix application.

We were even thinking of driving
or maybe flying 1/2-way for cheap, then renting a car with unlimited miles and driving the rest of the way.
We’d take the horse & buggy the whole way, but our horse is very old and weak, not to mention we’d have to constantly stop and change those wooden wagon wheels.

Good thought
Check flights into Vegas. Probably half the price. With the rental car and gas it may be a wash though.

Vegas isn't any cheaper...
I was thinking more like St Louis or Houston…which would only leave about 24 hours of driving instead of the full 39. Although since I have off the whole week between xmas and new years, we might just end up driving the whole way to cali.

Alternate airports
Also need to check the alternate airports. I’m not going, but it looks like flying into Orange County would be cheaper for me ($285 from Kansas City). Sure it may be a longer drive, but it’s closer than Vegas or Phoenix.
Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles (LAX)
Santa Ana, CA – J. Wayne/Orange Cnty (SNA)
Burbank, CA – Bob Hope (BUR)
Ontario, CA – Ontario (ONT)

You forgot
Long Beach. JetBlue flies from Long Beach to NY, DC and Ft. Lauderdale among others.
