Tommy Tuberville is out as Auburn football coach
Didn't this guy just go undefeated in 2004? The SEC is loco.

I sit next to two Auburn grads who are stunned.
They think it’s a stupid move.
I won a beer on a bet from 2004 when I bet them that JoePa would outlast Tuberville.
They fire off a comeback that was supposed to be a diss but it’s actually an interesting question, “Has PSU ever had a coaching search?” As far as I know JoePa was anointed by Engle and then we start going back to the pre-Korean War days where you just sub in a soccer guy or Pirate manager as the head football coach.
Maybe we need a PSU Football Encyclopedia entry

I hear.........
Tuberville was a really good guy. However, I lost a lot of respect for him when he cracked on WVU for getting Noel Devine into school “somehow”. Meanwhile, Tuberville takes 30 kids a year in his recruiting classes. Nobody greyshirts like Tuberville.

Having said that..........
seems to be a dumb move.

C'mon
It’s the SEC, the conference whose fans actually shoot each other over the outcome of one game. Nothing shocks me with these teams. They’re a cartoon version of what athletics should be.

Dumbest move ever
Write it down, they won’t beat Alabama again while Nick Saban is their coach.
Tuberville is one of the five best coaches in the country period. Somebody is going to look real smart when they hire him, no doubt by the end of the year, but my guess is within 7 days.
