McCoy comments

"I know who's the better team, so you don't need to do all that," McCoy said. "I want to play them so bad, not only just for my own personal reasons but just because it's always been a rivalry. It's crazy that the biggest schools in the state don't play each other. I want to play them."

McCoy also went as far as to predict a Pitt-Penn State outcome.

"It would be a blowout."

sounds like hes getting jacked up for the epic SUN BOWL

Funny...

….how he never says which team is the better team and who would win.

He knows PSU is better and would win the game 44-3.

He is definitely good and would probably get 70 or 80 yards rushing against PSU.

WE ARE.......PENN STATE!

Funny

It’s funny how insignificant Pitt is. It took me about 15 seconds after reading this post before I realized that it’s LeSean McCoy and not Colt McCoy you were referring to.

I did the exact same thing

I just fanshotted this thing, I found it after seeing the “McCoy takes shot at PSU” headline in Rittenburg’s blog. I was thinking “what does Texas care about the Rose Bowl?” But then I realized it’s the McCoy that plays for a team that lost to Bowling Green, in that stadium no one goes to, representing a school no one cares about.

I thought the same thing

Ever notice that Penn State seems to frequently be the team getting shit talked about, but never does much shit talking?

by Roland86 on Dec 30, 2008 2:12 PM EST up reply actions

I don't know

I was talking to a Miami fan in 2001 I think, he said that Miami’s kids didn’t shut up the entire run up to the 87 Fiesta Bowl, but Penn State’s fans haven’t shut up since. FWIW.

First off

He just compared Miami players to PSU fans. Fans can yack all they want, it’s the PSU players that aren’t talking smack.

Secondly, not a lot of players were talking smack in 2001 after the 2000 season.

hahaha Pitt sucks

Really, that’s all we need to say.

Throw it to Zug!

Once again Shady fails
It’s crazy that the biggest schools in the state don’t play each other. I want to play them

They do Shady. It’s called Penn State v Temple!

Does that mean he's suspended for the Sun Bowl?

For being intoxicated while giving that interview?

side note

I may be going to watch the assclowns known as the pitt panthers get their asses kicked tomorrow. The army is giving away tickets to the game(guess pitt travels so well that there’s a ton left over) At first i didn’t even want to go, then thought what the hell….I’ll rock some PSU garb and cheer on the beav’s.

McCoy is still bitter than he never got a schollie offer from PSU. Not Joe’s fault that he couldn’t make grades and was a complete tool during his official to MRob.

LMAO

i normally root for instate schools…however

GO BEAVERS!!!

by amandakt on Dec 30, 2008 9:50 PM EST reply actions

I used to....

…at least have a little respect for McCoy as a running back. His ability to cut in the hole kind of reminded me of Curt Warner (that, and the number). However, now I just think he’s an even bigger dousche. Funny, how he is talking about Penn State during Wannstache’s first bowl game at Pitt and Pitt’s first 9 win season sinc 1982. Yeah, a blowout. If it wouldn’t eb a contest, then why does he want o play us so bad? They couldn’t beat Bowling Fucking Green at home. What makes him think a home and home with us would make them better? LOL! He can eat a bag of dicks!

by Spats on Dec 31, 2008 8:35 AM EST reply actions

Because

They beat Iowa by 1 point who beat us by 1 point, so they would blow us out…..LOL

Iowa

Also, it’s good to note that Pitt won by 1 at home and we lost by 1 on the road. Considering that home field advantage is generally considered about 3 points or so, that’s basically the same outcome.

by Laaaaazzz on Dec 31, 2008 8:43 PM EST up reply actions

well, basically the same outcome in terms of assessing team strength. Obviously, the difference between winning and losing is huge.

by Laaaaazzz on Dec 31, 2008 8:44 PM EST up reply actions

BLOWOUT?!!!!

yeah, they just got shutout by the Beavers

wow. just wow.

by millzners on Dec 31, 2008 5:53 PM EST reply actions

Shady didn't say which team would win . . . .

So I think he was predicting a PSU blowout win.

Obviously, he should have kept his mouth shut. Put up or shut up. Until you’ve put up, best to keep the foot out of your mouth.

by gcdyersb on Dec 31, 2008 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

Well, he surely did

tear up them Beavers yesterday.

He should have focused on them, perhaps.

That Pitt offense reminded me of ours during the Dark Years. Very, very bad.

that was awesome watching pitt get shut out

I like our bizzaro rivalry with OrSU

so since we waxed the beavers and pitt got shut out by them, do you guys think that will shut them up? What excuses will they come up with? I have to find a pitt blog and here what they have to say, I’m sure it will be priceless
