I'm Down

I have nothing to do today until getting obnoxiously drunk later, so I was probably gonna spend most of time on here anyways. Hard to find many PSU BB fans

Works for me,

seeing how I’m at work and all on this lovely day of days. It’ll be nice to get some idea of how the team played.

Hmmm

Talor Battle is leading the Big Televen in scoring, when was the last time we had that?

Sluggish

Seems like they aren’t as crisp as I’ve seen them this year. Northwestern is running their offense way to easily.

If Northwestern

runs an offense that includes getting the ball inside the paint, that is how we have played all year….like a dead skunk…..

We play...

defense like kids in a pick up game. If we lose this, and with our upcoming schedule, we can write the season off already.

Some times I get really frustrated watching them. Knowing a few of them personally, I feel like basketball can be prominent in Happy Valley if we put the pieces in place when they are needed. With such a good start (against inferior opponents) winning this one would really be a boost.

As I type this though, I see that spark that we need.

I was out in the trenches, which enables me to paint such a powerful picture, like Apocalypse Now.-Cormega

D-Will

Where is the basketball equivalent of D-Will? The kid who sees the PSU basketball program as something worthwhile and wants to be the one to turn it around??

Geez...

had to restart the compy, and the next thing I know, we finally tied it back up.

How has Pringle looked? His line isn’t pretty to this point, so perhaps a hiccup while trying to get back to game-speed?

by IcersGuy on Dec 31, 2008 1:25 PM EST reply actions

Pringle has not looked very good, he keeps giving the ball to Northwestern

Babb has looked alot better though and the big guys are playing the best I have seen this year (Brooks and Jones). I am worried about this game, but more concerned at how darned good the rest of the big ten is this year. Michigan #24 in the nation, come on, how did they get that good after stinking so bad last year.

We just needed a couple players, a couple people to buy in to the fact and we were able to do it. --A.Q. Shipley

We showed some toughness with DJ & Danny out

A win is a win. I’d rather come back in the 2nd half than hang on in the 2nd half. It shows mental toughness.

Here’s the biggie with PSU BBall……we hit the FTs at the end to seal the deal!!!! Wow!!!

I get the feeling

that this team will be in a lot of close contests all year long. (Yes, the Cardiac Cats description comes to mind.) They have talent, but not necessarily enough to win/dominate on skill alone. But it looks like they have some of the intangibles to stay competitive in any/every game we play this season.

Thanks for throwing this thread up

My family is here visiting this week so I’m busy entertaining them. So I appreciate you guys starting your own open thread. I should be back to regular posting next week.
