The Only Thing Worse Than Losing 6-4 When You Suck...
…is losing 3-0 in a bowl game when you have a self-proclaimed God at running back. Wow. What a bunch of losers.
God Created the World Out Of Nothing, Paterno Built A National Superpower On Cow Fields...
not only that
but also when your opponent has arguably their best player, and his very good brother, both sidelined with injuries for the game. Imagine if the Rodgers brothers were actually healthy in that one.

That game
was just horrible. I still think McCoy is a good back but Pitt has no passing game whatsoever. At one point the commentators said, “well that’s four runs in a row for McCoy, but Wannstedt’s used to that, he once ran Ricky Williams 14 consecutive times.” That’s what they said, I’m not making it up!
I thought the other back looked better than McCoy at times.
I also thought that the zero has never looked better next to a team’s name on the scoreboard. My favorite part of the game was the Aflac trivia question that had Marino being the last QB to lead Pitt to a 10+ win season. And yet they still try to throw crap in our direction. Seriously…1981? And then someone talked about how Wannstache has turned the program around. Yeah… awesome job

Besides
it was probably the worst 9 win season ever. I mean look up and down that schedule…

10 wins
The fact that Pitt hasn’t gotten to 10 wins — especially now in the era of 12 game regular seasons — really underlines their lack of relevance nationally. It bears noting: PSU went 9-4 the prior two years and it had many fans up in arms and wanting to get rid of our legendary coach. Pitt goes 9-4 this year and it’s a great season for them, arguably the best in the past quarter of a century.
Suffice to say, the programs are on two slightly different levels. And expectations are somewhat different between the fan bases. There’s a good reason folks like myself don’t consider them rivals — they just aren’t at our level and I think it’s a huge insult for PSU to compare ourselves to them.
