ACC Better than the SEC? A Familar Columnist Says So!
Those of you may remember my outrage a few months back over this crap. Well our favorite South Carolinian Columnist is back and has a rather interesting article and arguement in today's edition of The State newspaper. To basically sum up the better parts of it: Top to bottom the ACC is better than the SEC this year. Yes read that again a writer in an SEC town says that the ACC is better than the SEC this year. Mr. Morris actually did a little research to help his claim as well. It is hard to believe that someone in the media would actually put forth a legitimate arguement against the SEC, let alone someone from Columbia, SC home to the Gamecocks. The truth is the truth, but I doubt we will ever hear an "expert" on tWWL mention this, what with this being a reality for the next 15 years. I thought some of you would like to see this article.

Erik Casilias.........
However you spell his name………he usually annoys me, but while filling in for Colin the other day he said the following……….The BIG 12 is totally over rated……..the SEC is totally over rated this year………the BIG 10 is under rated this year……….and Penn State is paying for Ohio State laying eggs for the last 8 or 9 straight games against SEC opponents. Granted, he attended Michigan School of Law so he might be biased, but I think he is on the money.

I was going to stay out of it all together...
but since you asked…
I strongly believe that top to bottom the ACC is better…BUT take the best three from both conferences and the SEC would go 2-3 against them. What I loved about the article myself is that it is an indictment on the crowning of the SEC as THE PREMIER conference in America. I think the national media needs to reasses their views in light of evidence like that…but with the ESPN deal I doubt we will hear much of that opinion.

Gotcha
Was suspecting that’s how you leaned, but wasn’t sure given your writeup and your history with that guy. You’re a standup guy, Mr. Easy.
I agree with you, btw. It’s an interesting question: how to compare relative strength of conferences….
