Around SBN: VIDEO: Watch I'll Have Another Win the Preakness Stakes

Best of Both Worlds...

So congratulations Penn Staters: you get your chance at dethroning the mighty USC! But after Pitt's win today, they accepted the invitation to play in the Sun Bowl on December 31st, to play against none other than us Beavers. I know a lot of you guys wanted to see Oregon State do well and were pulling for us all year and were excited about the possibility of tailgating and what not with us (albeit the football game being the lesser of 2 match ups). However, with today's games, you get to watch Oregon State whoop up on Pitt on Dec 31st, and then watch Penn State win by 7 over USC on New Years! I'll be looking forward to being on here with all you fans!

Go Beavs! Go Nittany Lions!

The poll

I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty lopsided.

WTF?

I have no idea how Pitt has a vote. Must be a troll.

JoePa for governor

Zug

Always vote for Zug.

VD must not be familiar with our poll rules

A poll without Zug as an option is simply not valid. Oh, and nice to see the trolls in here… like there should have been even one vote… lol

I almost voted for Zug

but then realized that I really want OrSt to demolish Pitt and make them shup up about their “We beat Iowa” BS.

Go Beavs!!

There isn’t another team I’d rather see Pitt play. You guys will throttle them, they’re a “fake good.”

Shitt on Pitt

OSU has been my rooting interest in the pac-10 ever since we played you (even against the ducks), and its been an exciting season. I would love to see you guys destroy those big east wannabees to cap it off

Go Beavs!

You guys in Building the Dam know how I feel about ya. I wish you all the best and hope you crush Pitt. Sorry you guys gotta go to El Paso, though. That place sucks. Be careful going near Juarez or avoid it altogether… seriously

actually...

my experience with Juarez was rated G with nothing to report…

Now my experience in Tijuana many years ago was a MUCH different story and I emptied my school savings to get my out after 6 nights / 5 days… that story is best left for a tailgate at the RB ;)

man, now I NEED to go to that tailgate

speaking of which, I think I’ve convinced the JuggerNittette (or I suppse she’s more of a Spartette) to join me in Pasadena. She has no interest in going to the game, but basically when all her friends told her she’s an idiot for not wanting to go down to SoCal for a few days in the middle of winter, she sorta changed her mind :-p

No Doubt

Can’t wait to hear that story!

You guys obviously get to follow them a little bit more then we do out here (being in PA and all)

I know there was some hype surrounding them, but after they loss to Bowling Green, they kind of fell off (them, and every other Big Least team) Can anyone give me some insight into their style of play, strengths, weaknesses, anything would really help. Thanks guys!

Early prediction, PSU 23-20 USC. No joke. Their defense is incredible, but y’all have an offense to match. Their offense is decent, but if you look at their TO ratio this year, it isn’t great. Many times they’ll give up more TOs then take, and if PSU can capitalize, it’ll be a great game

I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.

Shady McCoy

Get to know the name. He’s one of the best RBs in the country and the keystone of Pitt’s offense. They like to run the ball.

Good luck to OSU. I’d love to see you beat Pitt.

Pitt Has No QB

Plenty of Pitt fans in the family and they all say the same thing- Pitt has no QB. Stuff Shady and you’ll win. Easier said than done, but still. . . .

That's disconcerting...

The voting is currently tied at nine a piece for sPitt and the Zuggernaut.

Why the Panturds even get one vote is beyond me, but that they’re tied with Zug? WTF?

There is a tractor in the parking lot, West Virginia license EIEIO. Your lights are on.

I wish I said that

I nominate that for comment of the year

by WPIALkid22 on Dec 8, 2008 2:14 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah, it's good. On a bunch of levels

I didn’t know there was such a position as Head Song Girl. Gotta wonder what’s involved in attaining such a position of leadership!

In any case, whatever her skillset, watching Zug bang her in the end zone after scoring a touchdown will be the greatest of Rose Bowl theater.

Voted for Oregon State

Not because I hate Pitt or really have any feelings towards them at all (if anything, I like Pitt given a number of friends that went there and a general pro-Pennsylvania bias when rooting for schools), but because I always want to see our opponents do well and make our wins look stronger. And also because I had a blast with every Oregon St fan I met in State College in September. I’d root for Oregon State versus pretty much any non-Big Ten opponent.

Now this poll is complete...

I just wish I could vote again so Zug and OrSt could both have one. Thanks for the addition, VD!

Nice come back for the Zugger

He got a late start but rallied to defeat Pitt and slip into second place. That’s what I love about him. He never gives up and just plays his game.

Incidently, I think Zug could beat Pitt by himself.

I Hope.........

when PSU beats USC on New Years Day that the guys in the booth go on and on about how a bunch of 3 star guys handed it to all those 4 and 5 star guys and that you really have to hand it to Penn State’s coaching staff for coaching up the talent and getting everybody to buy into the concept of team. It would only be fitting and fair given the love affair the country has with all USC’s Parade All American’s each week no matter how they are performing.
