Cianciolo
How did he pull off a 3.94 GPA in finance while practicing, lifting, and watching film every day is beyond me. And that’s not including his baseball responsibilities.

There should be a BSD Awards Ceremony.
-The Graham Zug Award (awarded to the player exhibiting overall awesomeness and sex-pantheriness)
-The Tony Johnson Award (awarded to the receiver/tight end with the worst pass catching abilities)
-The Suhey Award (awarded to the best player who’s father and/or grandfather also played for Paterno)
-The Rivals Whiffed Award (awarded to the a poorly-ranked recruit who’s lights out great, or to a massive bust)
etc., etc., etc.

'Rivals Whiffed'
I hereby move that this award be known as the ‘Joel Holler Award for Highlighting Ineptitude in Recruiting Ranking Systems’.
There is a tractor in the parking lot, West Virginia license EIEIO. Your lights are on.

The Suhey Award could actually be awarded to the best player ...
who’s father, grandfather and/or great-grandfather also played for Penn State

I actually knew the kid for whom the award that Shipley won is named.
He was a good kid. He was a year ahead of me in the same class as my brother. If you knew him in junior or senior high, you wouldn’t have thought he would be someone to have an award named for him, but he grew up a lot in college.
Funny story involving him — I was getting off the elevator with my father in the building on campus where my father had his office. Maginnis is getting on the elevator, sees me & says hi. Once we are out of earshot, my father says “How come Joe Maginnis called you Josh?” (my older brother’s name) So, I said, “I don’t know Dad, probably for the same reason you just called Dick Maginnis by his brother’s name.”
This is a sad story about Dick, some background about the award in his name: http://www.statehighalumni.com/s/633/index.aspx?sid=633&gid=1&pgid=15&cid=292&newsid=81
