Saban
I read an article in the Post-Gazette today that I can unfortunately not link to. I couldn't find it anywhere on their sports page.
Anyhow, this article talked about how coaches like Nick Saban, Phil Fulmer, and Les Miles are now using web cams to get in touch with recruits during the no visit period in the spring. I found it pretty intresting, and began imagining litte JayPa getting one under the tree this Christmas. Also of intrest is the fact that not a single Big 10 coach was mentioned among those who are using the new strategy.
Discuss.

i have to imagine...
that someone on the PSU staff is able to set up this technology for the coaches. I know that Joe probably has no idea how to turn on a computer, but the money and resources are there to have this technology available.
bottom line is, this is a beneficial tool for coaches/recruiters to use and we can’t afford to fall behind even just a little bit. This is NOT a costly or difficult addition.

I can’t see this happening at PSU as long as Joe is around. He prefers the personal touch of a hand written letter or a phone call. He’s never going to go for this.

well...
then that’s a shame.
hand-written letters are nice, but kids like using newer technology just as much or more than letters.

I don’t see these lasting too long in the NCAA. If they’re willing to ban text messages I can see these going by the wayside pretty quickly. I also think that’s good because kids need time to be kids and not worry about where they are going to college for so long.

Forget JoePa, lets put some Penn State Tri-Delts on a webcam for these kids…
You find out life's this game of inches. And so is football.
