Update on some athletic facility upgrades

Here is an article outlining the upgrades that are being done for some of Penn States athletic facilities.

A whole lot of stuff going on quite frankly. In fact, I guess with all of these projects it is no wonder why we can't afford a D-I hockey team.

Softball Stadium

It's nice to see them finally building that new softball stadium. The graduating seniors on the team were promised 4 years ago that they would be playing in a new stadium. And with the baseball team playing in a brand new stadium, Title IX was slowly creeping up on PSU.

Please enlighten me

What's the difference between a baseball and softball stadium? Is it simply how deep the outfield fences are? Why couldn't softball use the baseball stadium as well?

Differences

I believe the dimensions are different. Everything is smaller on a softball field from the distance to the fence to the distance between the bases, homeplate and the pitcher's mound.
