Curtis Drake verbals
Since its been published by philly.com I thought I'd start a new post.
http://www.philly.com/inquirer/sports/20080611_West_Catholic_s_Drake_picks_Penn_State.html
From the article:
Curtis Drake, a 6-foot, 175-pound quarterback from West Catholic High, gave Penn State an oral commitment during a visit yesterday.
Drake said that he had all but made up his mind before yesterday's trip but made the trek to State College for the sake of his mother, Schante Smith Roberson, and his stepfather, Robert Roberson.
They met with Drake's recruiters, assistants Ron Vanderlinden and Mike McQueary, and head coach Joe Paterno. At the conclusion of the meeting, Drake informed them of his decision.
"I just liked everything about the school," said Drake, who had an offer from Northwestern and was attracting attention from Georgia Tech and Maryland. "I've already been up two times before and just felt comfortable."
Congratulations Curtis and best of luck!

Perfect
A WR that can throw some passes on an end around….
So how long of a “look” do you think Curtis gets? He comes to camp in August, they look at him and he hopes in at the Y spot?

Curtis Drake
He must have been the possible verbal commitment that was talked about yesterday. I figured it was him but nobody was saying for sure.

Welcome to Penn State!
Curtis,
I hope you have a great experience during your time at Penn State.
Please learn the Alma Mater. We respect the phrase “MAY NO ACT OF OURS BRING SHAME”.
Make us proud!
