Programming Note

Guys,

Please refrain from posting premium material from the recruiting websites. Those guys bust their butts for their paying members. When you post their premium material you are taking food off their table. I have a good relationship with the guys at Scout and Rivals as a blogger and a paying member, and I would like to keep it that way. Posting their premium material will end up getting me banned from their articles and message boards, and then I'm coming after you for my hundred bucks.

To pic15, I apologize for deleting your post. It contained premium material which I felt was not appropriate to divulge. Let's just say there is good news hitting next week on the recruiting front, and we will all find out what it is soon enough.

im not trying to be a dick...

but i’ve always been told that when you have someone as a “source” you make it your job to keep them anonymous and not “out” them. i’m not pointing fingers at anyone, but i’ve noticed some “ive heard this from so and so” and then that person’s name is called in the next post. if you all are okay with it, i would like to ask that we move towards a responsibility to respect our sources (unless they say you can name them) because when someone gets out-ed, that may discourage them from releasing information in the future. Thanks for listening, and im sorry if i came across like a jack-off

I don't think this is a source issue

It sounds like Mike does not want you to post material you got from Rivals on this board due to his relationship with them. That’s a perfectly legitimate request.

If you have a different source for the material, wouldn’t that be okay? What if the information is the same or similar?

Outing Sources

I think it’s up to the individual to decide. If they want to out their source that’s not my problem. They are the ones who have to deal with pissing off the source and risk letting their information well run dry.

But i will say I think anyone who gets information that their source thinks is given in confidence and then posts it on a blog or message board is a total dick. And if you out your source in doing so that makes you the scum of the earth.
