Hey guys
Let me know if you find this kind of stuff interesting. I don’t think I’ll do this every day, but it’s interesting to look back on Penn State history from time to time. I think the younger generation of Penn State fans is missing out on this stuff. If it gives them a better appreciation of our roots I think it’s a good exercise.
I just got a copy of the encyclopedia as a gift and it’s full of really interesting stuff. I don’t know if I’ll ever get a chance to read the whole thing from cover to cover. The book itself is really cool for anyone thinking about buying a copy. My wife got me a copy by emailing Lou Prato himself. He was gracious enough to sign it for me and included a personal letter with it.
By the way, thanks Lou and Sarah.

I’d love to hang out with him on a porch, with some beer, and just listen.

Keep up the good work Mike and Kevin
(any chance you are gonna keep going with the adventures of Link posts on the BSD website???)

I've thought about it
I just need to run it by Mike and make sure he’s not a Zelda fan.
Also trying to make some time for one or two more Profiles in Playger-Agism.

Word
It’s been said that history teaches us that we learn nothing from history (see RUTS’ citation of our performances, if you can call them that, in Columbus), but mostly I think that’s a copout. This is a good idea for bridging the generational gap here at BSD as you noted, for a little format variety, and also because it’s good for us all to learn a little history.
