Player Nicknames

So this topic has come up on a few threads, and I figured it's time for it to have a thread of it's own.  It's time to come up with some player nicknames for the 2008 season.

Special shout out to user "BlueWhiteLife" who originally came up with the nickname suggestion.

Here are some that I have come up with.  Please add to the list in the comments section and we can create a poll later to see who has the best nickname for the 2008 season.

Evan "Rolls" Royster

Josh "No pain, No" Gaines

Rich "Toot my own" Ohrnberger

Dan "Breaking the" Lawlor

Jordan "Morning" Norwood

Micky "The Schooler" Shuler

A.Q. "You sunk my Battle" Shipley

Maurice "Stairway to" Evans

Chris "Coca" Colasanti

These are just a few of the ones I thought up.  Please feel free to add your own or suggest new names for the ones I've listed here.  Let's have some fun with this!

Thanks for the fanpost! Please do not post any content from a premium site that requires a subscription. Also, if you just want to share a link consider using fanshots instead. Thanks.

my favorite

Chris Berman nickname is Tim “he could go all the” Wyman from the 1993 movie the Proram. Omar Epps was in that move. Epps must be the most athletic person in Hollywood. In movies he played football, baseball, basketball, and ran track.

The "IF's"...

Brandon Beachum sees playing time (a is a-la Royster/Tony Hunt -ish)...BB – KING!

...same with Brent Carter (buy the way, I am a REAL BELIVER in this guy)...dare we call him …” Welcome Back, Carter ” ( the old ‘70’s TV show, Welcome back Cotter ) a-la Kijana!

Daryl “On the Mark Clark”...that would be cool if it came true (great as a passer!)

Old School... MEETS New School!

How about...

Chris “Crash” Colasanti – I think “crash” is good for a linebacker.

Or.....

Chris “Cross out the ball carrier” Colasanti – it could be shortened to Chris “Cross”

Ahh, Chris Berman

He was great, but then it got a bit old.

As a Phillie fan, I always liked Bob ‘Intentional’ Walk, but my fave was Rick ‘Innocent’ Lysander.

HNB’s Bieniemy was nice, too.
