Change We Can Believe In
"Jay Paterno tells an audience of 200 to make change happen during the grand opening of the Centre County Democratic campaign headquarters Tuesday in State College. “You either get better or you get worse — you never stay the same. Now what happened in the last eight years? Did we get better or did we get worse?” he said." [emphasis mine]
We got worse, Jay. Please resign.

LOL! Very ironic....
Sometimes we only see situations as they relate to others and not ourselves.

I deliberately...
did not post about this meeting. Now everyone who hates JayPa and/or Obama can let everyone else know about it.
If we say 2000 is the starting point, PSU football’s gotten better, no question. If we use ‘99, it’s a different story.

Will Jay have a job when Joe goes?
Eventually…Joe will retire. Whether it be this year, or in 3 years, or in another decade…eventually it will happen. My question is, would any of the following keep Jay on his staff: LJ SR, Bradley, Galen Hall, or Greg Schiano/Any outsider?
I can’t believe that an outsider will keep Jay on the staff. An insider might, but how would that fly? Will they be forced to keep Joe’s son around, b/c of his last name?
Just an interesting tidbit I had. I love Joe, and want him here as long as he wants to be here (I’m in that camp). However, Jay Peterno is no Tommy Bowden and if Jay’s last name was “Smith” or “Jones” or “Francesco” I don’t think he would have A-Gotten a QB job at PSU and B-Have a job right now on the staff.. My thoughts, I’m just curious as to what people will think will happen to Jay in particular whenever Joe goes..

Pretty simple
A social promotion to an administrative post with the athletic department or the nittany lion club that involves lots of golf and smiling for pictures. Jay has a very easy life in front of him.

Or...
Jay might actually want to coach and become an assistant at bowling green or somewhere…

Nobody in their right mind
ever leaves State College if they can avoid it. Like me, Jay’s a local, he’s staying.
As soon as I can figure out how to get my Wife to move , I’ll be back. At which point I’ll never be dumb enough to leave again.

slight defense
In Jay’s slight defense, if the recievers can’t catch the ball, the QB can’t make the play. I do recall the Matt Seneca catastrophy and Zack Mills Junior Season. Some blame has to go with the recievers in addition to the QB

wait a minute....
shouldn’t Jay be working on his Spread HD? What happened to the fact he already has a job? What an asshole.
I WAS undecided who I was going to vote for. But now Obama has lost any chance at gaining my vote. Maybe McCain will gain Joe’s endorsement?

McCain Endorsement from JoePA
No chance. He’s too young.

really?
You determine who you will cast your vote to be the next POTUS by the fact that an offensive assistant that is screwing up your favorite team supports one of the candidates?
