PSU at Syracuse Link Exchange
Hi all! My brother and I are headed to the Dome this fall for the 9/13/08 matchup vs the Orangemen. I had been looking at going to out Camp Randall for the Wiscy game, but scheduling has me going here instead. Anyway, I'm hoping to try this method out for having a onestop shop, inside BSD, for PSU travelers to come for away-game-related info (if this one works, I'll be glad to create the starter for the Purdue, Wiscy, OSU & Iowa games).
So, it turns out I was just up in the Cuse for the first time a few weeks ago for a wedding. It's a pretty bleak town, the Cuse--very industrial and spread out. The 'downtown' has a really localized bar area in a tight few blocks, not that big and not totally easy to find, called Albany Square. It seems like it could be pretty cool on a gameday, tho. That's about all I'll put out there from my experience, but I found this great Cuse Visitor Guide, curiously enough from a dude calling himself TexanMark, that's been pretty helpful: http://texanmarktailgate.blogspot.com/2007/05/syracuse-tailgate-and-visitors-guide.html Oh, can also add that the Dinosaur Bbq is indeed All That: great frickin food, and a nicely divey, biker type decor, and a very, very mixed crowd.
Anybody else heading up? Would love to see comments posted that give advice or tips regarding any aspect of traveling as a PSU visitor to an away game, such as food, drink, tailgating, transportation & accommodation. Hope to see some of you up there in the fall! --jp

Wiscy Game
yeah, I really wanted to make that trip, too. 8p kickoff at reputed Camp Randall sounds awesome. One of my two brothers couldn’t do it, so I’ll save it for another year. Def keep us posted as to your plans and afterward your experience.

she worked in the athletic department when she was in school at PSU. She had to pay for the tickets but they are having a lot of people come out to the game and support State during what should be a huge game.

Things to do in Cuse
My brother went to Law School at Cuse and is a PSU alumni. So here are some places to go and drink.
Dinosaur Bar BQ – great Ribs and BBQ food. It is the trendy place to go so it will be packed.
Marshall Street for Food and if you want any Syrcause lacrosse shorts
Faegan’s bar on Marshall Street
and of course Wegmans! It is the ultimate grocery store based in upstate NY. Great hoagies.
