Lions have chance to be Big Ten upsetter
http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/8401672/Lions-have-chance-to-be-Big-Ten-upsetter
Foxsports actually has a good article posted that says if all things go well we could challenge of a Big10 or even national Championship. It is about time someone in the media focused on something different then JoePa and our criminals. If we can sart out with momentum, which we should, there is no telling what this team can do. 4 weeks AND COUNTING!!!!!!

thanks...
for sharing the link. Pretty solid article. Essentially holds the best-case scenario for Penn State as the most-likely, but that’s not such a bad thing.
And it’s relieving to read an actual football article; a sign that actual football games are on the way…

29 days.....
I can’t wait.
I think this article is very realistic. I expect to be undefeated going into Oct 25th.

Do you really believe the best case scenario?
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see this guy’s supposition proven; that Penn State can win the Big Ten and contend for the national title. In reality though, with an inexperienced QB and a very tough mid-season stretch of the schedule, Penn State is much more likely to finish third or fourth in the Big Ten instead of win it.
However, this team has a lot of ability and if Devlin ends up leading this team, I can imagine the team going 10-2 in the regular season and coming in second in the conference.

For sake of argument
...last season, tOSU started a QB with little appreciable experience, and not very mobile…

evidence
I’m not sure of the evidence saying that an “inexperienced” QB equals no realistic chance at winning the big ten. Let’s watch a couple games before we are ready to judge Clark. Also, if experience matters, why does Devlin (who has less career snaps than Clark) get us a 2nd place finish?

Robinson
Remember Robinson wasn’t so “experienced” at the QB position when he took over full time and led us to an orange bowl.
Lets wait and see, atleast we know one thing, we are in for an interesting season.

Conpared to Clark & Devlin
Robinson was a seasoned veteran. Zack Mills was hurt quite a bit, and Michael got a lot of snaps at QB as part of the general game plan as well. What he did do was improve a lot in a short period of time.

Can't agree...
....Robinson started half the games at QB in 2003 and 2004 with Zack Mills injuries.
He set the single game passing record for PSU against Wisconsin during Homecoming in 2003.

I wouldn't say he was inexperienced
But he wasn’t very good prior to 2005 and gave no reason to believe he was about to have the breakout year he did.

Robinson.....
As I recall…..half the PSU nation including my father and brother were calling for Morelli in 2005, especially after Northwestern. Robinson did bring the team back but I think he had 4 tournovers in the first half of that game. Ball control is key for the team this year. We don’t need to have the most glamorous offense, rather we need a QB who can avoid turnovers and make the right read. PSU is going to be run heavy this year …...I am guessing 60/40 or even 65/35.
I thought only safeties played 15 yards off the ball?

Great Point
on the Robinson turnovers. Thankfully, his Leadership and clutchness (he bailed himself, with a little Dwheels help, in that same NW game) far overrode his pedestrian passing ability.
