Wasn’t he the only back in the history of, well, all-time to lead the team in rushing for four years, yet gain fewer yards each progressive season? Meaning, his high total was as a freshman, his low total was as a senior?
Someone, look this up. Do it now.

Sound accurate
I think he ran for something liek 800 yards as a frosh and less than 400 as a senior

My personal favorite reply.....
Are they booing?
No, they’re McCooing.

McCoo
That caption oughta read: “Only 8 more days until revisiting the glory of spin-moves past”
My friends and I still fondly recall Spinny McCoo.
It's true.
I always did love those McCoo spin moves.

McCooooooooo
I remember listening to a Penn State game on the radio and hearing the crowd “McCoooooooooooooo” every time he got the ball. The announcer didn’t even have to say who the ball carrier was.
Spinny McCoo, Stabby McSlipperyhands (or whatever!?) – love the nicknames.
Thanks Mike
Hands down my favorite penn state player of all time. I only wish JoePa would have put the ball in his hands more often. He also was a great receiver out of the backfield. Wasn’t it him that caught the over-the-shoulder pass on the near side of the end zone from General Mills in the comeback against Northwestern to give Paterno No.350?
Also I really want Chafie Fields at No.2 and it to read
“…Only two days until there are no flags on the field…….”
#2 has to be....
D-Will! Success this season depends on D-Will reaching expectations.

my vote is for James Boyd…the hardest hitting safety to grace the green pastures of beaver stadium

But I'm also a bit older school
And would have to say the mighty Ray Isom is the hardest hitting safety to grace our green pastures. I just tried to find a youtube link (unsuccessfully) to link to here, but when he laid out Ironhead Heyward in the flat, it was the prettiest thing you ever did see!

I'm only 24...
but i’ve seen a few highlights of Ray Isom and he could lay some wood…if i’m not mistaken he laid out Michael Irvin (i’m a cowboys fan, so i’ve got a soft spot in my heart for the triplets)

upon further review...

Ok
So, PSU we’ll stick to then. I’m a glass half-full dude, so I’ll grant that your being a Penn State fan is so positive it trumps any negativity your being a Cowboys fan brings ;)))
I rather like this pic of Boyd. I like the potential of a wood-laying hit it conveys. Kinda like an atom, just standing there, ready to explode. And the hands! Like’s he’s rubbing them together with a ‘come and get some’ type of anticipatory meannness.

So you.......
haven’t seen the Cowboys win a playoff game since you were in Jr. High. Wow, that must hurt :)

I'm with you on Boyd!
I know Ray Isom was a hard hitter and I understand he put a nasty lick on Irvin in the MNC game but James Boyd was just flat out scary in every sense of the word. If I recall correctly he also was a crime and justice major at PSU and I think he went into law enforcement after he started his career. Very fitting for James!!

just for that...
in honor of you, thursday should say… only 2 days until real colleges play football… sorry you threw a meatball down the pike, no harm no foul
For the glory
No
6 definately got to be Derek Moye. “6 days till we have a tall receiver that actually catches wide open passes”
I hope you're right on both counts...
Moye’s wide open and Moye catches passes! To date he’s been on the field for 0 seconds so we’ll see how he does when he’s in front of 110k as opposed to the crowd at Rochester HS.
