I am curious if anyone else that holds a blue parking pass had any problems today? This pass requires an $800 donation. Which should bring a decent parking privelege for that price. Parking has been shuffled and there was little room for the number of blue passes that exist. It will only become worse for the better games. Any comments are welcome.

One of the people in our tailgate group uses blue parking, and had no issues. Pulled in at 7am. Used the blue parking area at the bottom of the south end zone/red parking lot. All was well at that point.

What sort of issues did you have?

We got there at 0830 ( my fault) but in the past we parked in the grass lot that borders the south end zone lot. That is now off limits and is being used for Letterman overflow. There were always plenty of spots in that field. People knew where to find me in that field. I was told to use the back 3 rows of the south end zone lot and that there were only about 5 spots left. I was then told that I only had so much room to set up the canopy etc.. which there was not enough of. I then walked down to that field and there was no one tailgating, there were just parked cars. That field was prime tailgating area. I know there are plenty of others that would have arrived after me and will arrive later for games this season and theree will be no room. The parking map shows a different story.

Interesting. One of the side effects of the reserved parking on paved lots is that your real estate, unless you’re up against an island, is pretty well limited.

We’re lucky in the red lot, as the people who park next to us either never show or sell their tickets on ebay to someone who just comes late and parks a car. We get 8 parking spaces worth of space to work with, which is nice.

I have orange preferred parking...

and I discovered last year that after a certain time they open the lot up to general admission parking. The lesson – get your ass out of bed as early as you can to get the spot you paid extra money for.
