Illinois Pep Rally 8pm Friday Night at Rec Hall

I see that there's a women's volleyball game prior to the pep rally. The game starts at 6pm. I plan on attending the pep rally but I was wondering if I should go to the game before the pep rally to ensure that I can get into the pep rally. Two years ago I went to the Michigan pep rally and it was packed but there was no game prior to the rally. I'm sure there's others in here who have gone to the pep rallies before but if anyone has gone to a pep rally that was preceded by a game, could you please lend some advice?

Do I have to go to the women's volleyball game on Friday night before the rally?

I have no idea, but if I was the athletic dept.

I would make anyone wanting to attend the pep rally also attend the Volleyball game. Support your national champions.

In that vein

I get a ton of emails from both the Alumni Association and the Nittany Lion Club, including things like the electronic version of the football letter, game day advisorys, and other stuff. I don’t post it because I assume that most ervybody gets it in their own right and that the informaiton filters out on its own.

I’d be happy to post it as I recieve it if anybody thought it was worth while.

online at: http://www.alumni.psu.edu/fbl/default.htm. John Black has been writing it since before JoePa became HC, and his game write-ups often include comparisons with long-ago teams and players. I’ve been reading it each week since I graduated – check it out.

I signed up for it yesterday. Can’t believe I haven’t read it for so many years. I swear I read every John Black issue from age 7-18. Just never followed up with it after leaving mom’s house. Glad to be back in that mix….

Can somebody please tell me if they think I have to go to the Vball game to reserve a spot for the pep rally?

I don't think you have to go to the game.

I’m pretty sure there was a game before the ND pep rally last year, and I went to that with no problem. I would plan on arrive 30 minutes ahead of time in order to get a seat.

I was doing exactly what you said to do except I wasn’t typing a word & highlighting it. I was pasting the address, then highlighting it & inputting the url again from the chain. I guess it cancels itself out when the highlighted text is also the url.

Women's V-Ball

Not sure if you’re REQUIRED to be there in order to get a Rally seat, but I highly suggest you go if possible. These ladies are BEASTS, and the level of play is amazingly quick and violent. 4000 spectators at a game is not unusual.

Plus, they look VERY nice in those spray-painted, teeny-tiny shorts.
