If this guy got hit by a bus, I'd be cool with it

Please look at this guys picture, then ask yourself, how can he be writing sports?!?! And while we're on it, why does cbs hate Penn State so much, every time I turn around they're bashing us. At least ESPN gave us some props during the Oregon State game tonight. Wow i hate them! Whatever happened to journalistic integrity?
FOR THE GLORY OF OLD STATE!

Nice!
“The talent in the program is starting to dry up” – that’s just comical. I wonder if he’ll bother watching Saturday night?
It looks like he got that pictue taken at fucking Glamour Shots. What a douche!

WHAT A DICK
This guy could only wish he could have 1/100th of the talent / class / poise that JoePa has. Some no-name d-bag thinks he knows when it’s tme to tell the greatest college football coach of all time when to step down? I think not. Eat a dick, my friend.
I bleed Blue and White.

Well...
If winning 80% of your games since November of 2004 means you’re past your prime,
If winning three bowl games in 21 months means you’re past your prime,
If winning a conference title means you’re past your prime,
If going 4-0, including a victory against a team that just beat the #1 squad means you’re past your prime,
If crafting and maintaining a program that’s home to the largest, loudest fans in the country 4 years after the worst stretch of program performance in memory means you’re past your prime,
If getting injured while on a football field means you’re past your prime,
…then I don’t want to know what being “prime” is.

Doyle and Dodd
A read A LOT of nonsense through my reader, but these are two guys who I honestly don’t think twice about skipping over…clicking on that link was the first time I’d even been to cbssportsline in months.
I’m not even mad anymore, Doyle saw Dodd’s formula for “success” and is simply following it / taking it to the next level. That site is totally driven by the message boards, so "success" is measured by the number of posts you generate as a result of your “story” (more messages means more poster, leading to more page impressions and more ad dollars). These guys are shameless, if you don’t believe me look at their "mailbag", which is pretty much harsh sounding emails with the cbs writing responding with some type of horrible not even close to witty response that reads like an exchange at a bar…there is no insight whatsoever.
It’s really sad that they’ve decided to take that approach instead of working on quality material, but it works and so the only way to get it to go away is to ignore it.

Indeed.
Isn’t there a Dennis Dodd quarantine on this board?

Yes.
And we might as well add Doyle to the list. This one stands as an educator. But try to remember that going forward.

We should have one of those foul language blockers.

No more...
I never want to see an article from that D-bag posted anywhere near any college football blog I read, anywhere…He is a disgrace and a shameless fool stirring the same old pot they have been stirring for 10 years now.
Will CBS even have any football left now that the SEC is moving to ESPN?? Why is CBS a relevant source of media?? Im on a rant, I need a beer…oh wait, 3 hours until I drive that RV up to State, beer is coming! Beat Illini!

CBS still has the rights to the marquee SEC games, its the second tier stuff that Raycom did that ESPN got. I think.
John Madden told me 90% of the game was half-mental...

I dunno
The Alabama – UGA game this week is on ESPN as was the LSU -Auburn game. Both featuring 2 top ten teams, so I don’t think ESPN only gets the 2nd tier SEC games, but Im not entirely sure.

CBS has the first choice
which still leaves plenty of quality options for the “second-best” ESPN SEC games.
Also, CBS has to choose its game a week ahead of time, and Tennessee at Auburn looked better when both schools were undefeated a week ago.
Finally, there’s probably some “every team gets on CBS at least once” clause; the Big Ten has (had?) one with ESPN.

;) He has a point about our talent ...
It’s not like we have the highest rated QB in the conference… oh wait … OK, it’s not like we have 2 RB’s in the top three for the most yards per carry in the Big Ten … oh wait … OK, it’s not like we lead the country in point differential … oh wait … it’s not like we’re the only team in the country that is better than every other team in either total defense and/or total offense… oh wait….. OK, our kicker doesn’t have many field goals. You gotta admit that’s proably true. :)

no logic
I don’t see how this “writer” can equate JoePa getting his knee busted up on the sideline to being washed up. Yeah it’s a little hard to walk, he had his knew blown out when he was over 80!
I don’t care if they build him a robot exoskeleton with a jet pack as long as he can still coach. Well actually I do care because that would be awesome.
