ESPN Gameplan NOT working!
Just like last Saturday, a service that I am paying extra for is not working. Comcast says it is ESPN's fault, ESPN does not have anybody available. Is this happening on other providers as well? It is happening to Comcast in Alexandria, Va.

That call was bullshit.

Get Dierect TV
The main my reason my wife pays for Direct TV is so we can get most, if not, all of the Penn State games. Also being in Northern Virginia, it’s frustrating seeing what is on over the air TV. (we also can get Friday Night Lights, MLB, NFL and March Madness).
I’ve been trying to sell this to my parents for years…and now they are in Utah…far away from Penn State (they used to live in State College)

Go to a bar that carries Gameplan
Thats what we did, actually 2 bars, since the first said they had it and did not. but the second did, and you know what. The PSU fans were louder than the Bama-GA fans, and this is in Georgia

I have Dish Network
And I’m very happy with it. I get the BTN. I’ve watched every game this year except Syracuse, and that was because hurricane Ike knocked my power out that day. I did have to buy the Gameplan this weekend, but it was a piece of cake. I didn’t have to call Dish to order it. I just went to the channel the game was on. It told me this was a pay-per-view event for $21 and asked if I wanted it. I said yes and boom, there’s the game.
Doesn’t make any sense for Comcast to say it’s ESPN’s fault. Why would ESPN black out the game for people willing to pay for it? Comcast operators don’t know what they’re talking about. Get the Dish, dude.

Houston
Mike – I just realized that you moved down to Houston (I’ve been off the site for a while because of lack of internet in my new house) and I’m wondering where you’ve been going to watch the games.
Have you been watching them all at home? My wife and I just moved from Cleveland to Cypress and have been trying to find a good sports bar to watch the games. SRO Sportsbar near 610 is alright, but it’s a bit too crowded and, well, shady for my tastes.
I, too, had to order Gameplan yesterday and I wasn’t thrilled with the fact that I had to. Who the hell cares about Va Tech/Nebraska?

Watch from home
I’ve watched all the games from home. Except Syracuse, which like I said the power was out for. But I’m not sure if I could have even got it if the power was on. Since it was a Big East home game I don’t think the ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 deal would have worked.

But then
It probably would have been on Gameplan. This was the first week I had to order gameplan. Sucks to pay $21 to see the game, but if you compare it to 50 miles in gas to go to SRO, and four or five beers while I’m watching the game, $21 to watch it at home isn’t bad.
