was anyone watching College Game Day final last night?
They were reviewing the highlights, got to the OrSU – Pitt score and Lou Holtz was a riot. They didn’t show any footage and Holtz said, “we showed the highlights – there were none”. Then he went on to bust Mark May’s balls about his “alma matter”. Loved it!
Yeah that was great.
Lou and Mark really dislike each other. They push it to the point of making it uncomfortable for the audience.
Yesterday
some quick break between games, May was trying to make fun of Lou for being in the booth…not only was it a bad joke, but Lou had no effing clue what he was getting at. This went on for like 2 full minutes and ended with May looking away, with the most phony laugh you’ve ever seen. It was awesome.

First off, that was the worst football game I’ve ever been to. I was surprised by the number of Pitt fans in attendance, but found it amusing that most of them were wearing steelers garb instead of panthers. They were definitely the douchebags I expected them to be. After seeing my wife and I wearing PSU gear half of them would scream Penn State sucks. It didn’t really bother me too much though. I simply responded, “That’s why we’re in the Rose Bowl and you’re in what?……oh yeah the Sun Bowl.” Just follow that up by laughing in their face and watch them walk away in shame. At least they were smart enough to stop talking shit after watching their team lay an egg on the field.

I'll say it:
The Song Girls are overrated.
Sure, I’d do all of them, but compared to some other squads (ASU, all SEC teams), they’re just “meh.”

Pitt's Ugly Loss in Sun Bowl
“Pitt is back!” ??? Wow, embarrassing even to read that out loud.
And how about the AFLAC trivia question during the broadcast? “Who was the quarterback of the last Pitt team to win 10 or more games in a season?” Everyone’s mind raced back to Dan Marino; admit it, yours did. The announcers were sure there must’ve been a Pitt team more recent than Marino’s. (“Tyler Palko, Alex van Pelt, Rod Rutherford; surely one of them had a 10+ win team” they said on-air.) When the answer popped up, and there was Marino’s face in an old, old photo, how embarrassing. 1981. The answer (and the reaction) said more than any Pitt-basher on this message board could. Over 25 years since the last 10+ win Pitt team?!
Haven’t won ten or more games since 1981. The streak continues. “Pitt is back”, my butt!
The silence from Mark May on ESPN’s postgame was absolutely deafening. And beautiful.
And how ‘bout Lou Holtz busting Mark May’s chops and crackin’ on Pitt? Considering the source, that was brutal. And beautiful.
Thank you Iowa for winning so far.
Iowa is better than their record. They’ll be a force next season.

Who should I root for in the Rose Bowl?
I’m torn….
1) Oregon State lost to Penn State. And beat USC. I’d rather say that we beat the team that won the Rose Bowl.
2) I like Penn State fans a lot better than USC fans. Except, my girlfriend is a USC fan. So… yeah.
3) If USC wins, the Pac-10 will go 5-0 in bowl games.
4) I love watching U$C lose!

I know I shouldn’t say this, I know that I should be pulling for a Big 10 win, but I am not sorry the Spartans are losing, not after the shenanigans D’Antoni pulled at the end of the PSU game.
I hear ya....
I’m torn. I think that I would have rather seen MSU win today b/c it only makes PSU look better. D’Antoni got his arse kickin in Happy Valley and that is good enough for me.
