Project Maybe?
So you're saying there's a chance?
Well, this is interesting. Hold off on that whole Project Mayhem going pro thing.
But despite a recent report on fightonstate.com that Maybin informed Joe Paterno Thursday night that he will enter the 2009 NFL Draft, Maybin has remained publicly silent about his future. At last week's Rose Bowl, Maybin refused to discuss his future plans and on Friday night, Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley said he was not aware of the redshirt-sophomore's plans.
If you read the article it has Tom Bradley, Lavar Arrington, and Jerome Hayes all denying that Aaron Maybin has made up his mind about going pro. If you want my opinion (well, even if you don't want my opinion you're going to get it...it is my blog ya know), this is just Maybin's friends not wanting to steal his thunder so he can make a public announcement. He's still gone. In fact Lavar Arrington...God bless you, Lavar Arrington...has this definitive statement on the subject.
"Even if I did know, I don't know," Arrington said. "Aaron is the president and CEO of his corporation. Any announcements or any type of anything - him coming back or leaving, that's on him."
I don't know anything, but if I did, I still don't know anything. I guess that settles that.

And most college students don't have ...
… corporations.
Just sayin’. Good luck to Aaron either way.

President and CEO
Maybin is only President and CEO of his own corporation because he isn’t married yet. After that, back to the mail room.

Arrivederci Arron!
I agree with Mike. He is still gone. Normally where thre is smoke there is fire.
If he was not going he would have come back and rebuted the stories. I think the only way he stays is if he gets cold feet. PSU is an awesome place. Even Millions of dollars will never replace what you have when you are here. But put yourslf in his place. If he enter’s the draft he is financially set for life. He is one play away from loosing that. Not that he could not get an insurance policy on his body but it wouold still not be the payday that he will recieve in the NFL.

If he stays nand gets injured this season, it would be a disaster. I hope he goes, takes the money, and runs.

Almost official
He is returning to his high school today, “give a motivational speech and declare for the NFL”. Good luck to the man, lets hope he lands in a spot that will know how to use him.

Motivational speach?
What’s his message? Stay in school?
