Piling on the BCS
This is all old stuff, but I hadn't seen it posted anywhere else yet, so I thought I'd add it. Anyway, it is from SNL, with Will Forte singing a song about why he loves the BCS, and other things he loves as much as the BCS.

Also, ESPN writer Ivan Maisel wrote an article
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls08/columns/story?columnist=maisel_ivan&id=3829520
In which there was this line:
The BCS has a rule that locker rooms must be open to the media after a game. Penn State coach Joe Paterno refused to open the Nittany Lions' locker room after the Rose Bowl loss to USC. No one connected to the BCS with whom I spoke has any idea how to enforce the rule or what the penalty is.
And I recall that during the game Lisa Salters was peeved that JoePa didn't do his contractually obligated pre-game interview:

I love how the BCS has these "rules" in place that are purely media and $$ driven.

How are we going to ever get rid of the BCS in a country that still embraces the electoral college?
We just needed a couple players, a couple people to buy in to the fact and we were able to do it. --A.Q. Shipley
