Rockin's Rose Bowl Trip

Finally got my pictures up on Flickr.com my member name is Rockin2009 So enjoy. Here is a pic of TheMightyErik, JtotheP, Rockin and Tim JtotheP's brother in law. Must say I had a blast meeting these guys and hopefully next year we can do a little bit better job of organization and get a few more BSD'ers to show up. I was hopin you’d pic that one! Mine are still on the cam. Hope to get em off (tee, hee) here soon. Be warned, about 60% of them are out-of-focus 200yrd shots of the Song Girls, with no telephoto lens and a point & click cam. Nice work, Rockin!

I also have my other parts of the trip up but not linked. Got some Moorpark College photos (the zoo college my daughter wants to go to) and some LA Ink photos (my daughter & I got tattoos at Kat Von D’s tattoo studio). I loved all parts of my trip (although next year I will do everything individually instead of doing the alumni package) but my favorite part was tailgating with my fellow BSD’ers JP, TheMightyErik & Tim. Woulda been a total blast if we coulda got some more attendees to the tailgate. Thanks for making KT & I feel the love of The BSD family.

there’s nothing like being there. $8.50 for beer, LOL. I was under the impression that you couldn’t serve alcohol at NCAA games, are the bowl games different?

I don't think there is any rule against it.

Beer is served at several stadiums around the country. Miami and WVU both come to mind.

From my understanding

beer (usually?) can’t be served on university campuses, though there always seem to be exceptions. I have noticed, though, that a lot of teams that play in pro stadums and arenas have beer sold at their games, though. This would make sense for the big bowl games, but the Rose Bowl is UCLA’s stadium. Maybe since it isn’t on their campus, though?
