Beanie Wells declares for the NFL Draft
Article in Cleveland Plain Dealer on his decision
Absolutely the right move for him because he's physically ready for the NFL and he's already proven his worth in college. The same can't be said for Maybin or Evans so I hope their decision is different.
I think our chances against OSU next year in Happy Valley just got a little bit easier. Our schedule is set for another run at the BCS. Hopefully we won't fall asleep in one of our lesser games and we show up against OSU at home.

Injuries
Guy has been hurt every season so far. Durability is an issue. He is taking the money and hopefully running.

We now have
The best QB and best RB in the Big Ten next year. And the only Zug.

Pryor will have to beat us with his arm now, I am liking our chances next year at this point.
We just needed a couple players, a couple people to buy in to the fact and we were able to do it. --A.Q. Shipley

we can't be too cocky now
…Tosu always manages to find someone w/ talent in the backfield. they still have the other Wells who is pretty good (and will prolly get better w/ more playing time) and i forget the 3rd string guy who isn’t bad at all…

True dat
I think OSU is going to struggle on offense next year big time. We saw how they did without Beanie. Now Robiski and Hartline are talking about going pro. Pryor is the only guy left. And from what I hear his personality has split the team in half this season. I can only hope and pray that OSU suffers through some three and four loss seasons the next few years.

Boom Herron
OSU still has Boom (I didn’t want to use the nickname but I don’t know his actually name) Herron who will be good. If Mo Wells is their feature back then yes Pryor will have to use his arm, but Herron can get it done.

Actually
I just saw Maurice Wells is a senior so he will be leaving as well. Daniel Herron will be the feature back and he is definitely capable. He’s the one who scored the late TD to take the lead against Texas. I don’t think it’s a guarenteed win but right now it’s looking like we should be able to tee off on them on defense.
Is it September yet?

Pryor's throwing
Every time someone criticizes Pryor’s throwing on a blog it seems like a dozen Buckeyes jump in giving the excuse that he’s only a freshman and claiming that during the off-season he’ll fix his mechanics and be a good/great passer next year.
I don’t buy it. How can he be 18ish with dreams of being a QB and be that bad at throwing?
Did you see how many times in the Fiesta Bowl he bounced the ball 5 yards in front of his receiver, even on short passes? And what about those shot-put punts he tosses up?
He’ll fix those problems before September?
While I’m ranting about QB’s did anyone watch the Bowl with ND and suffer through the announcers singing Clausen’s praises as they kept saying that that game was showing his true greatness?
I guess one outlying data point outweighs 11 on the trend line.

I agree with comparing Pryor and Clausen
Both highly recruited and forced into starting early. I think it will hurt them both in the end. I mean Pryor was the number one QB recruit, you would assume he could throw an accurate 25 yard pass but at this point he just doesn’t seem able. I am glad Boeckman didn’t play against us this year, we very well may have lost. Finally, what is up with Clausen and Pryor’s ears?

Clausen
That bowl game will be the game that starts him on the path to 2 Heismans.

Three, actually
In a couple of years, they’ll take back Bradford’s Heisman and give it to Jimmy.
