this only means
1) pitt loses half the fans that show up for their games. they now have 4.
2) psu evades the predicted blowout at the merciless hands of wanstache. we should be thanking him, really.

"Stun the Pitt campus"?
Most won’t even realize he’s gone until they read the game recap the day after Pitt’s ’09 opener.

Good for him
get the hell out of that hole in the Earth they call Pittsburg and go make some money. The kid’s obviously talented enough, and I’ll tell you Pitt is going nowhere.
This was their best season in 20 years, and I’m confident it will remain their best for another 20.
For fun, go look up the last time Pitt had more than 10 wins.

A tenth win, which, of course, was followed by a 48-14 depantsing courtesy of Penn State.

come on now
pittsburgh is unlucky to be associated with such an institution, but i wouldn’t really call it a “hole”. i reserve that term for altoona.
actually, i kind of like pittsburgh (im from philly). actually, i think i went to more flyers games there than in philly while i was at psu. cheeper beer, cheeper tickets, easier to get to.
