So who's making the road trip?
This will be my first PSU road trip since Michigan in 2002, I'll arrive in Champaign Friday night. I'm a little bummed about the weather, because it's supposed to average a high of 70 this time of year, but I'm hopeful there won't be much rain. I have a seat in section 207 row B. I plan on checking out the alumni tent. Hopefully the Lions can cut out the turnovers and get the win.

My wife and I will be there
I echo your sentiment about the weather… I’m not pleased. I was looking forward to getting a taste of fall weather (which we don’t really get down here in Houston) but now I’m going to get crap.
We roll in Friday night and also plan on going to the alumni tent before the game.
7
7 of us are flying into Chicago tonight. Cubs game tomorrow, then off to Champaign.
We’re tailgating with some guys from the Chicago chapter of the alumni association and might stop by the tent as well. Looking forward to it!
I went in 2001 to Champaign
An unranked PSU almost beat the top 15 Illini. Kurt Kittner drove 80 yards for the come-from-behind victory and won 33-28. Probably the most exciting game I’ve been to on the road, but the result was awful.
The University of Illinois is the most spread out campus I’ve ever seen. Every building on campus seems to be about a mile apart.
Dos Reales
FYI-Best food in champaign (and arguably all of central illinois) is a little mexican place called Dos Reales.
Went to Champaign for 2005 night game (awesome) as well as 2007 game (morelli).
Tailgates there are mellow and better attended than the games. Illini fans were polite both times.
I'll be there!
My wife and I have made the trip twice before, in 2005 (the amazing blowout/our first away game) and then in 07…we’ll be in section 108, first row, right behind our Penn State! We’ll be with some of our STL contingent (and we make a lot of noise, cowbell and all)…
Your wife making a trip to a blowout
Sounds hot.

Most definitely...
hot! married 6 years and nothing but awesomeness! If you or anyone is there, again we’ll be pretty loud! We’ll be hitting up the pregame peprally/tailgate!
Also...
for what it’s worth, we’ll be at Northwestern and Michigan State…living in St. Louis gives us the chance to catch a few away games a year, all we need to hit off is Indiana (WHY???) OSU, and Minnesota!
As with all the away games
I shall be there. Likely with the Chicago alumni association, probably make a guest appearance at the alumni tent, but mostly just drinking the Yuengling.
for the most part they are closer than home games
and cheaper and easier to get tickets to, as well. Still haven’t made it to Minnesota, though, and this is actually my first trip to Illinois.
This year, my average time travelled for all the away games is only ~2.5 hours.
