Not to look ahead, but.. . . . .
Background: I am planning a massive blow out throw down beirut/flip cup/even outlawed lawn darts inclusive party for the Michigan Wolverines game next week.
Question: Does anyone know what network will be broadcasting the game? I am hoping not the Big 10 Network for two reasons, 1) I would think this game is noteworthy enough to get a larger audience than that and 2) (and more importantly) I have Armstrong Cable which doesn't offer the Big 10, thus potentially ending all aforementioned "blowout" plans.

ABC
Gotta be ABC or ESPN for a 3:30 game of this magnitude.
Also, not to hijack your post or anything, but I am going to the game in Ann Arbor. It’ll be my first PSU road game ever. Anybody who’s been there have any tips on where to go/what to do/how to not get punched in the face?

is the bar a ton of PSU guys “take over” Friday night. I wasn’t 21 in 05 but you could hear the PSU cheers and songs wwalking by. A bunch of PSU guys were yelling at us to come in even though we told them we weere underage haha. In 07, we finally we able to go and it was a good time.
Tailgate on the golf course Saturday. Its $40 but its really close to the stadium and totally worth it. Its a great atmosphere and there will be TONS of PSU fans.
go to the high school that is kitty corner from the stadium
it is MUCH cheaper, and just as close, and right across the street from the golf course so you can always walk over to the alumni tailgate if that’s your thing.

great lot to park in
we were there in 07. Level parking with a lot of PSU fans.
They are very strict on some rules.
1. Don’t leave the lot with an open container.
2. Listen to the Elementary School Crossing Guard on the microphone at the intersection. He is funny. But carries a gun and a badge and will belittle you after a UM win. The UM win shouldn’t happen this year. I remember him telling everyone how long of a drive it will be back to “Happy Valley”. For those of you going to the game , after a PSU win, please inform him that you are gratefdully for his work that day and you hope he has a great day. (That guy still upsets me!)
Have a good time!
One disappointing thing was that we were continuously asked by those with grocery carts for our cans and donations. It does get old after a while. I am sympathetic to their hardship. Just not every 15 minutes.
Settle it on the field!

yeah, welcome to tailgating in the state of Michigan
where those cans and bottles are worth 10 cents (but Yuengling bottles are friggen impossible to recycle, since no deposit, and it is hard to find green glass recycling around here. I try to tell them that, so as to not waste their time, but they still insist on taking them anyway, I guess they figure I’m lying ot them?).
It isn’t even just for tailgates, either. Big party weekends you’ll see a ton of people going around collecting cans.

I second what state08 said
But as far as:
how to not get punched in the face?
Stay in groups. The Michigan fans are d-bags. I’ve been to quite a few road games, and I’ve never encountered any fans as bad as Michigan’s. In ‘07, I had a cup of beer thrown at a girl I was with, I got kicked in the back of the leg, and I had a beer can thrown at me (thankfully both beer throwers missed). I’ve never had anything like that happen at any other stadium I went to.
Also, this should be obvious, but stay away from the frats.
no worries
I wanted an answer and got one, hijack away. Have fun at the game and be safe (sort of). I wish I was going, so instead I am going to try create my own havoc (thus the beirut + lawn darts idea).

Jarts with goalies
I once watched my friend’s brothers play Jarts with goalies.
I was thinking they might be candidates for a Darwin Award, but
they were pretty good at it (which means, no one got seriously impaled).
If I recall correctly the technique was to hold the beer bottle in one hand
and use the other to deflect the Jart from the circle—with bonus points for catching it instead.
And I thought
Stump was a questionable drinking game.

be prepared to possibly walk right by the “big” house since it is set into the ground…..also…run through the law quad screaming and yelling, you are sure to get people pissed off……oh and i threw a pass across main street to tim curley…little did i know then that he would schedule terrible teams for the next few years once we crawled out of the dark years
apparently their new addition
at least makes it look larger than a 1 story building.

3:30 on ABC
Which means we get to listen to Matt Millen rave about The Freshman QB Who Has It.
Joy.

Where did you find that information
I can not for the life of me find that anywhere on the web. . . . .

I believe I read it on MGOBLOG
The start time and the channel, that is. I’m 89.5% sure that Millen will do the game.
Joy.

They won't announce the specific channel until that week
But it will 100% be on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPN360.com, due to television contracts.
Not the Big Ten network.

Speaking of Millen and Michigan QBs
Didn’t Millen rip Henne back in the day when he renigged on PSU and chose Michigan? Am I remembering that correctly? He seemed to be pretty chumming with him during the post game show on Monday Night. I kept waiting to see if he’d get a jab in but of course he didn’t.
What was he supposed to do?
Beat him up? The guy is a professional with a job to do.
Where’s the Beer and the Bar-b-Que?
Blackledge went to PSU and you don’t hear him praising us.
I don’t care at all what Millen has to say about Penn State. My only complaint is his refusual to clarify what “it” is. Aside from a shoulder injury, a slight concussion, and a benching.

IT
I used to be with IT, but then they changed what IT was. Now what I’m with isn’t IT, and what’s IT seems weird and scary to me.
That’s all well and good for you, but I used to rock and roll all night and party every day. Then it was every other day… now I’m lucky to find half an hour a week in which to get funky.
