All the Big 11 teams play each other this weekend, except Michigan who plays host to the 1-AA Hornets of Delaware State. Like last week's PSU game, that game is off the board. You know, I'm getting really tired of all of these 1-AA games; a school like Michigan, with all that football tradition and money, could never lose to a 1-AA team. Oh, wait...oh, what's that...oh, right, this:

Appalachian State Shocks The World

Ohio State -13.5 at PURDUE

The !uckeyes have covered healthy lines all year, and I don't see the world's biggest drum stopping them. OSU -13.5

Northwestern +14 at MICHIGAN STATE

I keep expecting Sparty to lose a game they should win, but (with the exception of ND) they haven't imploded yet. I think the Wildcats give 'em a scare: Northwestern +14

Iowa +2.5 at WISCONSIN

Vegas with a little disrespect for the Hawkeyes. Iowa wins this game because Ferentz is a better coach in every single way than Bielema. Iowa +2.5

Illinois -3.5 at Indiana

Illinois is winless against the spread this year. That can't keep happening, right? Illini -3.5

Minnesota +17.5 at Penn State

~~I think this weekend tells us a lot about how good this team is...we're pretty good: Penn State -17.5~~ On second thought, the snow keeps it close: Minnesota +17.5

University of Southern California -10 at NOTRE DAME

Close early but USC pulls away in the fourth quarter. I think the real play is the over (50), but I'll take USC -10.

Last week: 2-2 in the big ten; 1-1 in other games; 3-3 overall

Total: 3-5 in the big ten; 3-1 in other games; 6-6 overall

Iowa +2.5

I love Wisconsin

I think they win 20-13. This is the week Iowa drops. Stanzi has two picks to Tolzien’s none, and they hold off Iowa in the closing minutes.

Iowa is better on D, and generally better on offense. The only difference is Stanzi. I think it will be a close game and Ferentz has an advantage in close games over Bielema in that he is not Bret Bielema.

I kind of agree

I do think Iowa is the better team, but for some reason I just have a hunch that somehow Bielema will win this game. It’s nothing more than an intuition, but I was impressed by Wisconsin’s offense against Ohio State, and I can seem them controlling the ball and getting some pressure on Stanzi. Just my gut feeling, even though I should never side with Bielema.

Well, I'm not so sure about the alter ego..

But anybody can write a fight song. Just make sure it’s not some crappy, boring one like Colorado’s or Baylor’s or UConn’s. Yawn.

Iowa +2.5 but Wisky to win… I still don’t think Iowa is that great and are due for a loss. Madison is a tough place to play and they havn’t been completely terrible.

I think Camp Randall is overrated

Just the impression I’ve got after watching some of their games. Even when they were leading Ohio State last year it didn’t seem that loud to me. JMO

So you’re betting Iowa +2.5 at -110.

And you betting the money line on Wisconsin at about -130.

So you’re going to lose money unless Wisconsin wins be either 1 or 2 points.

Obviously, I wouldn’t take the 2.5 and bet the money line… I was saying taking the 2.5 is safest but I like Wisky to win. The money line does offer some nice value though…

I think it depends on what time kickoff is. Noon game are a little more subdued becasue the students are still sleeping off their hangover from the night before… I remember watching games in primetime there and it always looked pretty crazy.

I belive Iowa game is noon so maybe it won’t be much of a factor…
