mgoblog: JoePa@Michigan?
An interesting story that I had no clue about. Apparently Michigan offered JoePa a head coaching job in '68. He turned it down but suggested Bo when asked. Very interesting stuff.

Most of their comments are good, but this is about typical:
I’ve always liked JoePa, but I’ll also add that I’m glad we have the head coach that’s probably up working right now and not 2-3 hours into a 12 hour nap.

Does "working right now"
mean “coloring in his coloring book”? because I don’t see GERG doing much else…

You know
I was expecting more of that. But most of the comments are respectful and level-headed. Quite enjoyable, actually.
I know it's fruitless to counter the point of an insane person, especially an insane scUM fan
[I had actually written something here, but decided to delete it all, because honestly, I don’t really care what this idiot’s POV is on Paterno. I (and I hope we) all know that Joe is far more involved in practice and with the team than everyone gives him credit for just because he’s old. And that’s all I’ve got to say about that.]
Yeah
I saw that a few years ago…then I did a post informing Michigan fans that Bo was their second choice. LOL

They also asked him who they should hire when they hired Lloyd Carr.
Damnit, why did Joe have to answer honestly?
