PrintA great religious schism is developing. Who will be our god? Zug or Boone?
First, let's review pros/cons.
THE CHALLENGER, JEREMY BOONE!
Pros:
- Punted Anthony Morelli's face off.
- Was our only offensive weapon against Iowa
- Earned Big Ten Special Player of the Week accolades
- Name lends easily to cheers by the crowd whenever he punts.
- May or may not have highest average in Big Ten. I don't know because I'm too lazy to look up the stats.
- Was not dominated by Amari Spievey.
Cons:
- So far, has not celebrated great punts by standing on toes and fist pumping as dejected opposing players look on.
AND NOW, THE DEFENDING CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, THE SMASHER OF SONG GIRLS, THE MAN WITH A SWISS CITY NAMED AFTER HIM, THE MANHEIM MANEATER, Graham Zug!
Pros:
- Voted for himself in a poll after the Wisconsin game.
- Defeated J Leman. Think about that. He defeated J Leman. He let the world's greatest freedom fighter take an early lead, perhaps out of arrogance (but we cannot question the ways of the Zug people), then came back and crushed him into the dust. It was easy. What more can we ask of a being?
Cons:
- Got his ass kicked by Amari Spievey. I mean, what was his final stat line? Zero catches, zero yards, and one picture of him on the sideline calling Juice Williams for emotional support?
- The cult is pretty much stale.
FINAL VERDICT:
Boone wins. Zug has accomplished his task. He was sent to us to humble Black Heart Gold Pants - the fiendish Leman worshippers that they are. And that he did. By the way, he's also one of three Penn Staters (the others being Jamelle Cornley and, yes, Anthony Morelli) to defeat Iowa in a major sport (yes, an internet poll counts as a major sport and no, you shouldn't be questioning an insane person).
ALL HAIL BOOOOOOONNNNNNNE!
Firstly: I only did this to see if I could piss off Dawson.
Secondly: If we keep scheduling cupcakes, I'm going to get more and more bored and you all know what that means. I have to do SOMETHING. Someone find an EIU blog for me to trash talk on. If not, then this post is just the beginning.

Dark Horse contender Laura Nichols Breakdown
Pros:
1. There is a little bit of Laura Nichols in all of us. When she wins, you win.
2. Graciously brings us the news that we need to know.
3. Used BSD joke barely in an article.
4. Sounds hot.
Cons:
1. A being of which we know very little.
2. Does not directly contribute towards football wins on a weekly basis.
